  1. Great post and so helpful for other users of scooters. Thank you.
  2. Except in Puerto Vallarta they don't have any metal dividers so it's a free for all and no order to the lines. You don't even know what the lines are for and there's nobody to ask. (We go every year for past 30+ years so we know that airport very well.)
  3. Great posts and descriptions. The bird pictures were really nice and the pics of your food choices too! Thanks for taking the time.
  4. If you look closely you can see the prices on the menu. No deals to be had!
  5. This went downhill pretty quickly. (I skipped a few pages to get to the end to find out if the OP got the shipboard credit and now I see the big discussion about fact vs opinion etc.)
  6. I have a mobility scooter and I think the power worked above the desk when I was charging my battery during the night. We would plug it in before going to bed and during the night when I got up to use the bathroom the battery would be charged so I would unplug it. I am surprised by your comment that the power does not work when the lights are off. I did not find that on other ships we have been on, HAL and Azamara etc.
  7. I sure can relate to your forbidding your husband to wash any of your clothing. My husband throws fuzzy towels in with black pants and blouses and it takes me hours to get the fluff off the black clothing. I now do my own loads!
  8. We have owed shares for many years and every year they have renewed the shareholder benefit. I used to mail it via the post but would rather send it via e-mail.
  9. Thank you Haljo and Dutchman for the information. I will send in my proof via e-mail.
  10. I have a paper showing I own the stock. Do I have to mail it or can it be sent via e-mail? I could take a picture with my phone and send that in an e-mail or have someone help me to scan it and send it. Any advice on what is the best way?
  11. Just be sure to write it clearly on the laundry form what you want done - i.e. , not heat or cold water, etc. They seem to follow those instructions very well.
  12. We are 4* and sent laundry out numerous times on the past few cruises and I wrote on the laundry slip for low heat etc. and had no problems with anything. They sent it back looking very good and no shrinkage or problems. It sure is a nice perk!
  13. Quite the surprise. Good for you. I think I read you a re 5* so you have earned all those gifts!
  14. Always happy to read your posts and especially the food descriptions. My mouth is watering just reading about that Duke's Hula pie. It sure sounds good!!! Lucky you and thank you.
  15. As you don't have a letter from your doctor I would drop it for now. If you do get a letter from your doctor then the next time you call to book a seat mention that and perhaps they will waive the charge. I think it's too late now that you have paid and plus you don't have any letter from your doctor to substantiate your claim. Better luck next time.
  16. I would call the general number and ask if there is any way to get a seat closer to the front of the plane if a medical condition warrants it. Just a general question without getting into the specifics of having paid for an upgrade etc. It might not help you for this trip but for a future trip you might book. Ask if there is a medical desk for info on this type of issue.
  17. We used Tiles on our last trip for both the luggage and my mobility scooter. I was surprised that I had to pay extra to have some features. I forget what was involved but I did have to pay a fee and register them online and I chose to have them covered for about a month. I will have to do that again for the next trip. I thought you purchased Tiles and that was it but there is more involved.
  18. If I were you I would call United directly and ask them who to speak to. The letter just states why you need to sit closer to the front - i.e., a short post about your medical condition. In your case, I would guess because you need a wheelchair and can't walk too far. It could state the distance you are able to walk without aid etc.
  19. You could check the United airlines site to see if there is a number for accessible info. It might be the general reservation number. I contact Air Canada medical desk when I call for the seat assignment. They request a letter from doctor every year or two. My doctor obliges me and signs a letter that I type up.
  20. You should ask your airline if you have to pay extra to sit closer to the washrooms. If you have a letter from your doctor you may get a better seat closer to the front without having to pay extra. I got such a letter and get a seat closer to the front of the plane to make it easier.
  21. I am a little late answering ..... We have spent years in Puerto Vallarta (and other places in Mexico) over the past 40 years or so. We spend every winter there. I think we have spent about 5 years total there over all that time. Our second home - we love it.
  22. Can you send me an e-mail please at wendybob8 at gmail.com (your former neighbour) - I have a question to discuss with you. Thanks. Wendy
  23. Forgot to add that four years ago our status was Black (that was the old status and now changed to silver and diamond etc.) I also just noticed that under my name is has a date of 31-12-2023. I am guessing that is the expiry date. The cruise we are booking is November 2024 so I guess we won't have the Diamond status then and not get any perks for Diamond status?
