  1. Hi, I have similar timing coming up, and have been wondering at lines around 7 pm. Were the other ships still there at that time? Our day, ship leave at 8,9,10, and 11. We are 10 .
  2. You are right. Sadly, I think I am one of those people that will say "too much". I expected the cruise I have booked for Jan.2024 to go down. I booked it last year. Instead, it has gone up and rooms have sold out. I wont cancel, but I will not book again at these prices. Unless I can convince myself that indoor room will ok, as it was for the first 10-12 years of my 23 year cruising history...
  3. I found my answer, but could not figure out how to delete. They are doing 9 and above nights. I had 6-8 filtered. Now there are a lot less of our basic 7 night Jan. Caribbean, which partly explains the high prices. We avoid Jamaica and Haiti in the same cruise, which further diminishes our choices.
  4. I paid more than I can do again for Jan. 2024, and was looking into less expensive options. I pulled up all cruises for Jan. 2024 and 2025, no other filters. Where are all the greyed out ships? I am not looking for a one by one answer. It just seems as if our regulars - Allure, Independence, Explorer, Liberty, Mariner, and Voyager are gone. I did not limit to US, and Australian cruises did come up.
  5. We loved the dog sledding too. Worth it if you can find an independent booking, We also did a hike, canoe, walk across a watery beach like landscape up to the edge of the bottom of a waterfall . It was a long day, something we avoid, but it was worth it if you can find an independent tour.
  6. Why not ask while on royal at the next cruise desk. That is what I would do.
  7. Complaining/venting releases stress. It is satisfying to feel heard. If people agree, if it validating of who you are and how you think- another stress reliever.
  8. This is 20% more than I paid in 2023 for an 8 night Explorer cruise. Gratuities are added on top of that. If anyone notices a better price, would you please post? I can always hope for a better price! Thanks!
  9. Good point. Since they get their points at 18, they are denied an agreement, rather than credit for sailings. It would not hurt for Celebrity to just provide a few of the benefits like ice-cream and discounted laundry. It is not like someone under 18 is not allowed to use coupons in the "real" world."
  10. Agree!!! Some of us spend our whole adult lives tiering up.
  11. Yeah! That used to be where you could always find me! As my cruise is an indoor room for a destination cruise (Greece) this will especially be appreciated.
  12. I was wondering if the lounge below, on deck 11 is available to all? Years ago, its equivalent on RC changed to a top tier or suites lounge. I have only been on Celebrity once, and never on a ship this small of either line.. I miss the indoor sea view of this lounge on RC.
  13. Wow! That is a huge nice change! This in itself may make the crowding at the buffet easier to deal with.
  14. Where can we have a complimentary venue lunch on arrival day on the Infinity? We did not purchase any specialty dining and do not have any tier or room type privileges. I know the buffet is available, but I wondered if there are any less crowded choices.
  15. Too close for me. Usually all aboard is an hour b4 leaving ,we do not know what time last tender is ,and any excursion can run late.
  16. I have picked a sail that includes Delos and a beach island that I think is only available by these sail excursions. If that falls through for some reason, I will remember your recommendation. Maybe that guide description is why it is a less crowded beach. Thanks for the info that this beach would be just fine, and not to be disregarded because of the description.
  17. Is that 4:30 in Fira timing for the start of the cable car line, or when you got off at the top?
  18. Thanks! My excursion is a 7:30 am, I believe first timing as ship arrives at 7 am.
  19. Hi, After extensive research on these boards, I decided to cancel a private excursion that required I be in Oia by 9:15, or in Athinios port by 8:45. I booked a ship excursion so I could tendered to Athinios port, avoiding the cable car wait and a private 9:15 pick-up there for a 10:00 excursion. My ship also arrives in Sept.at 7:00. I am in the week before you. As was recommended to me, there are some boating excursions that leave from the port at Fira, also avoiding the cable car line, and they tend to start more like10-11, clearly knowing that is what time people are more likely to get there.
  20. Thank you for sharing how the timing worked! Very Useful information!
  21. Do you think people who booked ship excursions got off sooner?
