  1. I agree with this, it baffles me that there is a difference, must be the oven.
  2. We are currently onboard. The staff and service have been very good. We have found the food to be hit or miss, somethings very good, others not so much. By the way, our trivia mates told us that the Sea Bass is gone from Red Ginger replaced by Black Cod.
  3. Our account online doesn’t reflect the reservations anymore but that maybe because our reservation has already sailed. No on Starlink. We will still be onboard when you get on.
4. Beware that O has apparently installed a new specialty dining reservation system that has some problems. We are currently on the Rivera, the new system went live on our turn around day in London a few days ago. We just found out that the new system has dropped all sixteen of our future dinner reservations so when you show up, the restaurant says you don’t have a reservation. I have copies from our O invoice showing that we do indeed have a reservation but they have disappeared. Apparently we are not the only ones impacted. They are working to rebook but times and sharing options booked may not be available anymore. Quite irritating, I am always amazed how poorly companies test new IT systems.
  5. I suspect every ship at sea has some Covid onboard.
  6. We are currently on the Rivera and I asked the Future Cruise person if they was any chance SM would become optional. He said they were trying to make that possible as they were getting negative feedback from many guests. I told him to add us to the list as we will not be forced into O excursions. We are on for 78 days and have two O excursions booked and one of those is a transfer. If O sticks to SM we will be canceling our 100 days on Regatta in 2025 and concentrating our trips with Azamara.
  7. We are on the Rivera and did have one at 9:00 but the standard is 9:30. On the late side for us but that ok as entertainment is not an important item for us.
  8. La Reserve has a fee, a fairly steep one, I think $140/pp.
  9. Mines the same, she knows it will take hours on the phone.
  10. I think many are unaware it is going on. As you say, many are unpacking, unwinding and or enjoying the sail away. To me it should be the second day but it is what it is.
  11. As would we. We have done cruise only pretty much exclusively on O but I am not going to panic if the perks in SM are now another amenity like free specialty restaurants are. We generally take a few O excursions, I am a drinker but my wife is not so that’s 50/50.
  12. So I read further on some other threads and the answer is no, all cruises booked after 10/1 will include SM. At that point, it's no longer a promotional item, it is just an amenity. I have the option with a promotional item but an amenity I do not.
  13. So I have a simple question, can I still book the cruise only?
  14. We have not experienced either of these.
  15. I agree completely! We cruise both and like both but they are different. I think you describe that difference well.
  16. As long as the room stewards don't change, we tipi at the end. Sometimes a steward may rotate off or to another area. We have found they are pretty good at letting you know when this will happen.
  17. What about if you roll up a level while on a B2B cruise?
  18. Several years ago we did a claim for cancellation due to medical circumstances. As I recall it was relatively painless and we received credit in about 60 days.
  19. We are onboard and have not noticed any supply chain related issues. I will say in conversations with officers they think the inspections may take awhile as it’s the first time in several years that Sirena has undergone these inspections.
