  1. Every time I've used either Uber or Lyft I get a photo of the driver with a description on the car including the license plate.
  2. My answer is no. I've done the transfer from Anchorage to Seward 4 times over the years. For a lot of the way the road and the train tracks run parallel.
  3. And they also do not serve all airports in all cities as the earlier poster suggested.
  4. The itineraries have not been posted yet, just information from Crystal about the general area each ship will be sailing at various times.
  5. I think this varies by cruise. I asked just one crew member when I got the answer. It's like when you ask crew members the guest count, you never get the exact same number! Patty
  6. I was told that the magicians would be on cruises with at least 3 sea days. Patty
  7. All 3 cameras are good from Symphony. Only forward if good from Serenity, starboard is still fuzzy and there is no port view. Patty
  8. They weren't offered last month on earlier Alaska cruises. Thinking they are a thing of the past. I do have about 20 here at the house. 😉 Patty
  9. Since Serenity has 3 different Sapphire Suites - classic, 2018 and 2023 - which one(s) does this problem apply? Patty
  10. Yes, think White Night started on Azamara and when a cruise director was hired by Crystal from Azamara, it started there. Not everyone on Crystal participates.
  11. Starboard is working but it's "fuzzy". Way down the list of important matters!! Patty
  12. Crystal room service is 24/7! You will never go hungry!! Patty
  13. I'm sorry if you interpreted my response as somehow being challenging to you. That was not my intent at all. I suppose it's the fact that we are "two peoples separated by a common language"!! Patty
  14. Keith, Glad to help!! Since you are on Serenity now, could you ask the powers that be to fix the port and starboard cameras? 😁 Patty
  15. Is this for Symphony or Serenity?
  16. I've never been given a boarding time by Crystal that I remember. They do give group numbers based on when you arrive. I was in Group 1 at Vancouver a few weeks ago as I was staying at the Pan Pacific there at the cruise terminal and decided I'd just as soon sit waiting at the port than sit in my room. 😁 Patty
  17. Another vote for Crystal. I've only done Silversea for the lines you have mentioned but can tell you that service, food, entertainment and enrichment on Crystal is head and shoulders above Silversea.
  18. Based on his head feathers, I'm going to name him Einstein!! Patty
  19. Yes, square footage remains the same. The difference is storage and closet space. The closet hanging space is about 2 feet shorter and there is much less drawer space. It is still sufficient for the vast majority of solo travelers but many, many couples find it too limited.
  20. I more or less agree with Vince’s assessment of the “steerage” rooms, having now spent a total of 30 days in them since Crystal’s return, at least as this assessment applies to a solo traveler. I can not imagine having to share that space with anyone else. It’s enough space for one but not for two. Patty
  21. I think the answer to your question is NC had to basically reinvent the wheel with respect to all things computer related and making the change you suggest is WAY down the list of things to do to have a "perfect" system. One thing all Crystal cruisers know is back office never has and never will be the same quality as what happens on the ships and we are happy with the ship's quality. Patty
  22. During the time of OC I bought several things at 50% off that then was what I thought was a reasonable price, but hardly a "deal"! Patty
  23. I believe you have posted that you are in your 80s; you are not required to like it. but you might as well accept that your view is outdated and you accept what is or you chose to not accept it. Whichever way you go, it's not going to change reality. Patty P.S. I'm closer to 80 than 70 but long ago realized the world has changed!!
  24. There isn't a designated spot for the box of tissues in the entry level cabin bathrooms. My last stewardess put the box on that little shelf by the door. Wait a minute, we are no longer calling them stewardesses, what's the proper terminology now? Patty
  25. You are aware that Silversea, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean are all owned by the same company?
