When you launch the test on emed, it first asks your state of residence. Is it wanting to know where you are taking the test? When I’m in the UK taking the test to fly home, do I still answer with my US state?

Yes, they will have you give U.S. state of residence, then later, will ask where you are actually taking the test..... we've done all of ours on my 13" Mac book air.... easy to tilt the screen, & you don't need a 2nd person holding phone for you 🙂

  2. Hi Ladies, I have some free wifi, so I am dropping in 🙂.  First off, Lois, congrats!  I am so happy that everything looks good 🙂

Rome is having glorious weather,  honestly I am spending most of my time at the rooftop pool at our hotel, the views of Rome are wonderful, & the mimosas are delicious.....It feels like we are on a honeymoon to be so lazy, but this is what I can manage, & I'm enjoying myself so much.   In the early evening we go out for some pasta & salad in a sidewalk cafe...  My husband goes running each morning through the city & brings back wonderful photos for me....  just having a lovely, relaxing time 🙂

  3. Hi Ladies!   I'm sorry, I'm not caught up at all!  I'm packing madly, & just read the updated weather reports for London & Rome;  looks like we're getting a bit of sunshine!   Rome will have late afternoon T-Storms on a few days, but honestly I love evening T-Storms in Rome  🙂

We leave on Thursday...  hoping to finish packing this afternoon, then it's lashes & Mani-pedis tomorrow 🙂

Packing super light this time, since the weather is cooperating!

Hey Debbie, how are you feeling???

Hi Lois, like you, still healing from the surgery,  & learning to deal with side effects from pain meds... I have discovered that senocot s & miralax are my friends, makes a huge difference.... the miralax will dissolve in just about anything & you can't taste it....

We leave in 2 weeks for our little trip & cruise.... just starting to pull out the suitcases & do a little packing planning..... I plan on packing light, will make traversing through the airports easier 🙂

Hi girls, Sharon........I am healing........I guess there are good days and not so good, even with this type of surgery.  I feel like my right side has some soreness/pain more than my left.  I don't want to run to the Dr for it and I keep reminding myself tomorrow is only 2 weeks out from the surgery.

Hi Lois, glad to hear you are healing, even if it's slowly 🙂.

  6. Hi all, great to hear that Lois's surgery went well & that Melody is recovered enough to enjoy her visit & upcoming cruise!  & Cynthia, your cruise sounds terrific too...

I've been in hospital last couple of weeks, & received a surprise surgery on my right lung (same one I've been having trouble with since January).  Received a not so fun, untreatable diagnosis...will be making to absolute most of time I have left...still going on our cruise/trip in 4 weeks, it will just be a slower pace...  I appear to be going at a slower pace too lol 😉

Hi again......well, I spoke with the insurance company and the gal sees what I am asking about....but unfortunately, there is nothing she can do......it shows the claims dept has the paperwork and is "researching".........Customer service cannot call claims. (no phones from CS to Claims).......so basically it is just a waiting game😲.  I just hope when the gal in accounting calls me again for money for the upcoming surgery will take this all into consideration. I won't hold my breath though.......but it was the insurance company who made the error, not me.

Lois, what a PITA on top of everything.... I hope they sort it out soon 🙂

I’m part Irish and do fix corned beef, although not in the last few years. However, yesterday I did fix corned beef and cabbage and our GD had her first taste. She liked the carrots best.

Weather here is quite nice-in the 50’s so we are going to the zoo today. Flew a kite yesterday after visiting the U of MN art museum. Not much down time!

Kat, food porn is good too. We can see how it’s done elsewhere.  Will also look forward to seeing the barge accommodations. Oh and scenery too! Not asking for much am I?

sounds like you are having a wonderful time with GD...  I can't believe it's that warm up there...  I picture still being blizzard season.  Enjoy your time up there!

You paid $1800 ish on a 10 day always included sky suite? Wow. That is a good deal. I’ve been tracking pricing and not seen them anywhere near that on this sailing.

last I checked actual SS pricing, if you divided the current price by 4.8, that's about what we paid each.... & since we were dragging along a very small FCC, we kept our internet & will have to pay for drinks package...  with our Celebrity Visa we have enough credit to make the premium package 1/2 price....  I'm super happy with our cabin & pricing....  can't understand who's going to pay almost 17,000 USD for a basic sky suite for 10 nights!

Reflection May 13th 2022 sailing move up price MINIMUM bid from an S2 Sky Suite as of today. Prices are per person. The exchange rate is £1 = $1.3.

    Reflection Suite £6950
    Penthouse Suite £5440
    Royal Suite £3090
    Signature Suite £1685
    Celebrity Suite £930

Again, these are minimum upgrade bids that according to the site stand a weak chance of winning. Also this cruise was booked around 12 months ago at approximately £2900 per person. Today it is £6688 per person with Celebrity UK. Who on earth would pay £669 ($870) per night for a sky suite?

Yup, this is the cruise we are on....  the current price of our SS is 4.8 X what we paid....  I can't understand the pricing, but am glad I locked in an acceptable price months ago 🙂

Hi Debbie, thanks so much🙂....I honestly have not had any trouble breathing but when the Dr put her stethoscope around and said "Breathe".......well, on my right side, she said she could not hear anything😮.......

Did they numb you up before taking out the fluid? She told me they would do that first.

The procedure is called a THORACENTESIS (for anyone interested).

yes they numbed me up good,   mine was called the same thing 🙂.   I had to take off my bra & wear a hospital gown,  but got to keep on my undies & shorts...they numbed my back on the side where the fluid was, then they do an ultrasound to find the best place to go in...  you're sitting up & leaning forward the whole time... I didn't feel anything other than a weird sense of relief,  & then a need to cough towards the end...  they monitor you for a few hours after.... I went home and slept 26 hours straight,  the relief of beige able to sleep without gasping for air was so wonderful!    I was very lucky, & got my results fast, I think it was about 3 days, & my dr. called me right away...  now I just need to do a few years of CT scans to monitor the nodules, & the level of fluid build up (hopefully will not be a thing).

I hope this is helpful....  I was so scared going in that it would be awful, & it was so surprisingly easy, pain free, & a big relief to have more breathing room....    & ps:  shorts are a good idea, because they use them to tuck in more sterile draping in case anything gets messy 🙂

hugs to you Lois, 🙂  you're going to do fine tomorrow
