On my last two cruises at Port Canaveral, nobody checked the boarding time. Go when you want. I'll assume you are D+, so you can always use that card to get special seating. Plenty of no-shows at all the entertainment locations.

So, what cruises have been notified of the change to Norfolk? ALL of April's? Any in May or June? July, August, etc feels too early to change yet - right? (Ours is July 6).

I tried to use it at the Mason Jar for lunch on the first day, and was told no.

Back in December, 2021, we sailed on the first Grandeur cruise after the stoppage. I was surprised nothing was done to do even little items around the ship. My biggest amazement was the king size bed pillows with twin size pillowcases. No attempt was made to fix it, and then I found out some cabins took three days to even get pillows!

This seems to be the number question on FB, seeing it’s a pain to search for an answer, but for same day transportation TO THE SHIP, will RC and Celebrity have a bus leave from: Bologna Airport? Bologna Train Station? Venice Marco Polo Airport? Tronchetto/ Venice City Centre? Ravenna Train Station? And do these have to be prearranged and paid for? I know not all RC agents will be able to find the answers, but I figure veterans will know.

@Silent Penguin Thank you so much for sharing your story. Im thinking what a different situation it would have been in a city without the transportation and embassy nearby. Oh the questions I have…. Without going through your posts, about how old are you and dh? How long have you been married to trust this plan? Does your family know what kind of super hero you are? What kind of phone and what service do you have? Did you have an external charger or at least a cable? Maybe I missed this point, but did you have a carry on with a change of clothes and/or essentials? So, you recommend an extra set of Passport photos, just in case? And, who is going to play you in the movie version?

I assume you know the potential problem with Allegiant. With only one or two flights to Sanford a week, you could miss your sailing date especially if you are flying in the same day. The direct flight is fantastic, but the worry about a delay or cancel may not be worth the price.

I left my wife's phone on board. Called the number when we got home, and the Guest Services person go to chargerback.com. Took a couple weeks to get it back, but at least I got out of the dog house.

We're doing a B2B with the middle and final stop in Ravenna. So is it possible to take the bus into town; visit the mosaics and then catch the bus back to the ship? Do you know when the last bus is scheduled? And on the last day, we are planning to take the shuttle bus to the Bologna train station so we can ride the fast train to Rome for a few days. Is that a good plan?

So, what happened? Anyone on Explorer? Did they have transportation to the new location?

I read on previous posts that you can re-use Wow Bands on different ships - just need to get them reprogrammed. Can we use bands from trips to Disney parks? Or maybe Princess medallions? And if we have old RC bands, who does the reprogramming? Thanx..

While there wasn't much traffic, every single time someone entered the door near us, they let that door slam. At all hours. Day and Night. Never again. Unless you get a front facing one.

Any comments on the ports / excursions? Was this a Ravenna embarkation? What were the choices and cost when leaving? Were there many B2Bers?

So, is this the normal departure information for Ravenna? RCL and CC sells transfers to: 1. Marco Polo Airport near Venice 2. Bologna Guglielmo Airport 3. Tronchetto City Centre (drop off point for Venice and surrounding area) 4. Ravenna Train Station 5. Bologna Train Station To me, it doesn't matter the price for any of these. It's like parking at the port - a necessary expense.

Walmart Liquor stores are open at 8AM. I'll assume many others are open at that time, too. Most clerks don't care what time it is. So Publix, CVS, ABC, etc will all sell it to you. It's Floriduh.

Have you asked in your Roll Call? Chances are someone on your ship is driving from the Tampa area and could take you for a donation.

We are newbies for flying over the pond. If our plane is due to arrive at 9:00 AM in Barcelona, how long does it take before we're at the taxi stand with our luggage? If the hotel (H10 CP) has a 3PM check in time, should we change to a later flight?

I had a major cruise planned for mid January 2023. I had a heart attack and open heart surgery on January 1, 2023. I had RCL / Aon insurance. I got all my money back (minus the insurance cost) by March 5, 2023.
