Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I cancelled a tour onboard during a November Caribbean cruise and got a full refund. I cancelled before the deadline at the shore excursions desk.
  2. @irishgal432 We did the full-day Athens & Corinth tour with a driver and guide. We left the port area and went straight to the canal, then Corinth, then the Acropolis, time for lunch (on our own but with suggestions) and then a drive around the city including watching the changing of the guard before returning to our ship.
  3. I can't add too much more beyond what others have talked about except I too loved this excursion (August 2021). The ice lagoon was amazing, and I couldn't get enough of the landscape scenery during the bus rides. It was one of our favorite excursions and we still randomly bring up the day to reminisce.
  4. We normally like HO-HOs, but in Athens we ended up going private with PK Travel and had an excellent time in Athens and the surrounding area. https://www.pktravelgreece.com/
  5. Greetings all! I'll be enjoying my first Oceania cruise late this year, and was curious about the OE Shore Excursions. When I read the descriptions between the "regular" shore excursions and those with an OE option, they read like they hit the exact same stops. Is the only difference between these literally a different vehicle? Does the OE version travel in a "convoy" with the regular version? Thanks in advance, just trying to figure out how to explain these to my traveling party.
  6. Eat Sleep Cruise has a good article about Viking Ocean dining, including a pdf of a 14-night menus for the Restaurant. On our Panama Canal cruise we saw many of the same dishes, but with different Destination Menus. I don't know about the order of menus though...
  7. I've been fascinated by the reports from ms Zaandam cruising between Boston and Montreal - thanks to everyone sharing their stories and pictures!! I'm now considering taking the Canada & New England discovery cruise in 2023, but I'm thinking about an interior room (save some $$$ for our destinations!). Does anyone know if any of the interior bathrooms were redone/updated during the extended pause in operations? Also, any recommendations on which interior cabins might be slightly bigger than others? (I tried to figure this one out from the deck plan, but besides which deck the cabin was on, I wasn't able to determine any major differences between the different interior categories I-MM.) Thanks!
  8. I love balconies on cruise ships so the Sweet Aft Suite seems really appealing. But I also really love the breeze on the balcony when the ship is underway. For those who've tried the Sweet Aft Suites, how's the breeze on sea days?
