  1. For anyone that has recently done the chef’s table what was the charge with alcohol? Thanks! Tom😀
  2. Thank you very much. I’m organizing a group dinner in April 2024. Tom😀
  3. You can use it the minute you step on board the shop. Tom😀
  4. I’ve been on 35+ cruises on Princess so here’s what I know. There is always the main dinning room, usually on deck 6 opened, from 12 noon to 1:30 pm. It’s always my 1st choice to have a relaxing meal with a beverage. There is also food on the pool deck, hamburgers etc & a pizza restaurant. On deck 7 there is Alfredo's Pizzeria & the Ocean Terrace Sushi both an excellent choice for a sit down meal. Hope than this helps. Tom😀
  5. I’ve been to Cabo many times with an overnight & after a certain time they ran once a hour so you just have to time things according to their schedule or book a room until the morning. That would solve everything. Tom😀
  6. Another suggestion in to have disposable. Tom😀
  7. Thanks. I’ll probably have granulated to a walker. I’ve already requested the wheel chair assist on United & Princess to not have to carry anything heavy. Thanks again to everyone. Tom😀👍
  8. I upgraded through bidding from Stateroom: C707 (Balcony: BD), Deck 10 Caribe on the Emerald Princess to Stateroom: C617 (Balcony: B2. I don’t see any difference in the staterooms other than the location. I thought that I would be getting a sofa. Anyone know the difference? Both balconies look to be the same size. Tom😎
  9. Remember your FCC can be applied to your upgrade bid. If there is any difference btw you bid cost & you FCC credit you will be charged the difference. Tom😀
  10. Yes you can bid for an upgrade. I’m doing that for a December Caribbean cruise & my T/A does not have to be involved at all. My cruise is 14 days & I’ve bid to go from a standard balcony on the Caribbean Deck on the Emerald Princess to a premium balcony for $100, (it’s $200) because I going solo, but having a sofa in the stateroom is a BIG plus. About $14 per day. I’ve had a bid excepted before & it was worth it. I just looked at the minimum bid for a Mini Suite is $1,270..No thank you. Traveling solo can be real expensive. At least one other cruise line is opening a number of staterooms at no additional charge. Tom😀
  11. You are correct. I’m on the Discovery in April & have started a list to turn in for this dinner. Looking forward to a great meal with my photos to share. Tom😀
  12. Interesting as it’s not available on my Princess App. Tom😀
  13. I was lucky & just hurt my back so no surgery. I do have a back brace that I’ve been told to use as long as I have back pain. Where I live & the stairs to get to my unit I’ve been advised by medical people to not attempt to take something like that Up or Down my stairs as it would be a safety hazard so that’s a definite NO for me. Tom😀
  14. Curious as to whether you would ever pay $149 for a dinner anywhere? I do know that in San Francisco you would pay a lot more $ for a meal like that. Tom🤔
  15. How soon is your cruise? My December 9th, Caribbean Cruise, on the Emerald Princess I get the message that it’s to soon for any specialty dinning & my April cruise on the Discovery Princess it’s also not available. Tom😀
  16. I’ll be on a cruise from Ft Lauderdale so it will be interesting. At least if you’re wheel chair you can bypass the line. Hopefully I’ll not need a walker very soon & will just have a cane but having a wheel chair so I don’t have to carry anything heavy will be nice. Tom😀
  17. Here’s what I’ve worn before & easy to pack. It’s a suggestion so you can dress up or not. Remember the ship photographers do a 1st class job, I was a professional photographer for 20 years, & enjoy a few photos. Tom😀
  18. Thanks for taking the time to take & to post these photos. Tom😀👍
  19. I have always had the Princess Plus since it has been offered & I have 35 cruises on Princess. I’m not a big drinker but on a cruise I enjoy having a drink occasionally, at lunch & dinner & occasionally throughout the evening. & don’t worry about the cost. Since it includes my wi-Fi and gratuities I don’t owe anything more at the end of my cruise. I’m aware it may not be for someone that doesn’t drink much. Tom😀
  20. Thank you very much. Tom😀
  21. If you have been to the new 360* dinner, what was the charge? It’s new & only offered on the Discovery & Enchanted Princess. Here's somevgood videos that explains what it is like….Watch 360: An Extraordinary Experience, Watch The 360 First Impressions, Watch The 360 Reveal. Tom😀
  22. I’ve bid before & it isn’t free. I just look to see what the minimum bid would be & decide if I’m interested. I just made a bid from a balcony on deck 10, to a deluxe balcony also on the same deck, the minimum bid of $200. It’s bigger with a large sofa. I’ve looked at the deck plans so I know where they would be on Deck 10. Since this is a 14 day cruise I will love the Deluxe Balcony if my bid is excepted. Wish me luck! Tom😀
  23. One option is, if you don’t want to wait until your stateroom is assigned, & are interested in an upgrade, you could go onto the Princess site, & see how much you would have to pay if you were to bid for an upgraded stateroom. I’m in a balcony & to bid for a Premium Balcony, which is larger with a nice sofa, my minimum bid would be $200 & an upgrade to a Mini Suite would be $600. Since I’m solo I pay double. I’ve bid once & was happy with my stateroom. My current Balcony is on deck 10 as the balcony is one of the largest & partially covered & uncovered. All of the Premium Balconies are also only on this deck so I’ve put in a $200 bid. I like having the sofa to relax on. I’ll be interested to see if I get anything as my bid is the minimum. Tom🤔
  24. Thanks…It’s only for stability. I’m going to ask & hopefully I’ll only bring a cane just in case I need if. Thanks again for your suggestions. Tom😀
