Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. That is already a "must do" for us...Looks beautiful!
  2. Any info on the name of the port that Celebrity Edge docks at in Sydney? I know there are two different ports, so any clarification is appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Did you find thre days sufficient for really getting to experience Sydney? Planning the TP (Sydney to Honolulu) in April 2026, and are trying to decide how long to stay in Sydney pre-cruise. Thanks!
  4. Maybe a dumb question, and maybe it was already mentioned, but what is QVC? Looks awesome, and the TP is on my radar for 2026 to celebrate my retirement. Love virtually traveling with you!!
  5. We are looking at Sydney to Honolulu in April of 26. Your itinerary is a little more exotic, but still looking forward to "traveling" along with you.
  6. I just got off the Ascent (first X cruise) and, in my opinion, the food on Ascent was so much better than that on the Quantum almost two years ago. I realize this is a subjective subject, but it wasn't even close.
  7. I know most of the TA's are in the late fall, but there are two in August 2024 and one (posted, so far) for August 2025. Hoping there will be one in 2026 as well. Thanks Agian
  8. I am planning a golf trip to Scottland with my son and our wives after I retire in April of 2026. I would love to plan the trip around a cruise that leaves from Europe back to the states, and just sail back home. We are planning the trip for August 2026. Thanks for the info...We'll have to wait and see if my plan will work!
  9. Wondering if anyone has information on when RCCL might release the Transatlantic sailings from Europe to the States for 2026. Any info is appreciated. Cheers,
  10. If we do a B2B (21 days total sailing), do we just get $100 per cruise, or $250 for both? Not a big deal, but it would be nice to know! Thanks, Shelly
  11. A week ago Sunday, we showed up an hour early for our boarding time, and I went to the port employee and told him we were early for our time. He was very friendly and said it didn't matter and motioned me into a line to get on the ship. I have seen on these boards that some port employees have made people to wait, but our person allowed it.
  12. We just got off the Ascent and thought we had an 8:30 reservation and that they would tell us the dining room once we got on board. There was no info when we arrived in our room, so we went and looked at all four dining rooms and picked the one we liked best. Then we went to a hostess, who was at the hostess stand during the afternoon, and made a reservation in Cypress every night at the time, and at the same table. Call us "old school," but I enjoy having the same server every night as they get to know you and make dinner so much smoother. It is also true that you can order any item from any of the four dining rooms, which we did almost every night. The food in the main dining rooms is the best I've ever had on the mainstream cruise lines and we thoroughly enjoyed evey meal. Enjoy the cruise...The Ascent is beautiful!
