I emailed the hotel initially for info and they told me I could just buy one at the front desk. No need to pre-purchase through a 3rd party. 

We spent the day with a pass at Barcelo in May.  The beach was nice.  We met a couple walking down from Riu who said the Barcelo beach was much nicer and cleaner than Riu’s.  We thought the food and the drinks were sub-par. They mentioned they had stayed at Barcelo before and found the food at Riu better. But for half the price of the Riu’s day pass, it was fine.  We were really there for the beach. 

We are returning for the 2nd time to STT via cruise ship.  Last trip with the kids we did a tour that had a beach stop at Megans Bay.  We were blown away by the beauty of the beach a calm water.  This trip is with the hubby and we’re looking to spend the day floating at a calm water beach.  Our ship is in port from 12:30 - 8 on Jan 11th.  It looks like multiple ships in port that day as well.  Is Megan’s Bay going to be a mad house? Any recommendations for a similar beach?  
I’m thinking we’d need to do a taxi to Megans but can you also get island tours through the taxi service or should we just return to the port after the beach and try to find an independent tour that way?

2nd time back to SXM via cruise ship. Last trip with the kids we took a tour with Bernard. This time with hubby looking for a calm water beach where we can float for hours. Cruise line is offering an excursion to Great Bay Beach for $29.99 pp.  Bernard is offering a tour to Pinel Island for $35 pp - not including the cost pp for the ferry.  Any recommendations?

Sorry...should have included that. Mid December...flying to FLL on 12/12, sailing on 12/13.  Then likely will stay overnight post cruise on 12/20 as it seems SW flights that depart FLL on Sundays are outrageous.  I’d like to keep the cost under $150 per night.  
Thinking it may be more cost effective to just do Lyft rather than pay per person for myself and my 2 daughters??

Looking for some recommendations.  My daughters and I (20 &16) will fly in to FLL a day prior to a sailing out of POM.  I don’t want to spend a lot on the pre-cruise hotel.  Is it better to stay in FLL and then Lyft to POM or, find a hotel in Miami and Lyft to the port?

Can you use the spin bikes if there’s not a class?  I might go ahead and cancel, then do my own thing.  I am a spin instructor, but it’s nice to just be a participant sometimes. 

I bought the unlimited fitness class pass for an upcoming ADVENTURE sailing. I had to pick a time slot during purchase. I’m not limited to visiting at just this time, right? I bought the pass because the classes I want (all early AM), were not free. Will also be doing an ALLURE sailing later this year. Would ALLURE be the same?

Also...spin classes...I’ve heard differing responses. Are shoes provided on both ships for spin class to clip in?

It looks like a SPD pedal (most common). Clip in on one side, can be flipped over for using the cages instead. I will be on AOS in April and plan on bringing my spin shoes.  Fingers crossed!!

We are taking a quick weekend cruise soon out of Miami, but are flying home from FLL. Once we get off the ship, I don't really want to go straight to FLL and sit in the airport for 8 hrs. Any suggestions on things to do in Miami to kill some time? Also....we are on NCL Sky...do they offer luggage express where they will get your luggage right to the airport for you? This would eliminate having to worry about what to do with luggage if we venture around Miami before heading to FLL. Thanks!

Bermudababe.... Hi neighbor....We're in Erie, Pa. Does the Embassy Suites in Hunt Valley provide a shuttle to the port? Free parking for how long? Or are you parking at the port? Thanks!!!!

Has anyone used Friendly Transportation? I found their site offering transfers from Orlando airport to Cape Canaveral hotel and then a transfer from Port Canaveral back to Orlando airport for $36 per person. Rates for other shuttle services seem all over the place and I don't want the hassle of renting a car. Any info would be appreciated!!! :D:D
