  1. We saw wizard of oz , the water show, comedians and ice skating show. Our favorites were the wizard of oz and comedians. Others were ok. If the cruise director introduced the shows, he wasn’t memorable. Only events we participated in were the trivia events. Problem with the water show was horrible bleacher uncomfortable seats. We left early
  2. We just got off the Icon. The cruise director was mostly absent and didn't impact our cruise- He had a few assistants who did trivia and other activities- We will be on the Symphony in August- noticed Elvis is the cruise director. Will he be on in August? Is he good? Not sure if we ever had him on another ship.
  3. Just trying to save their life. And make it safe and comfortable for non-smokers. In this day and age- we know the dangers of smoking- respect those who do not want any passive smoke in their lungs.
  4. Try YouTube. But really not suitable for four unrelated adults. If you are all on a budget- try two inside or oceanview staterooms. You will have privacy, two bathrooms and storage. When I travel with family on a budget, we get two central park staterooms- deck 9 without a balcony same price as inside, but much nicer and larger- with a great view.
  5. Yes. Have been to labadee at least 6 times, and cococay 3. Our last stop at labadee about one year ago was very disappointing. My husband and I got many bites from sand flees. Also the buffet selections were poor, with flies all over. I will agree that the landscape is beautiful. I can deal with the flees and flies (bug spray) and a poor buffet, however safely should be a number one priority
  6. cococay such a big improvement over Labadee. Have just got off the Icon and CoCo cay was perhaps the best stop. We have a scheduled cruise on the Symphony in August- Hope it stops two times in CoCo Cay and forget labadee-
  7. We just came off the icon. We dined in hibachi. I had lobster and scallops and got sick. Never again
  8. We just got off the Icon, We had the unlimited dining package. We were in a suite but enjoy the specialty restaurants. We dined in Chops for dinner twice and lunch once- Giovanni's twice for dinner and once for lunch, Hooked for dinner once and Hibachi once (got sick from seafood at Hibachi) They actually charged additional some Entertainment charge- but no entertainment! Empire supper club was super expensive- addition $140 pp with the dining package so no dinner at that venue for us. Didn't eat sushi as not to our liking. We had daily breakfast-except one in Coastal Kitchen- other lunches in windjammer, the grove and aqua dome market. We really enjoyed- Chops, Giovanni's, and Hooked- We certainly got value with the package which we purchased on sale. Clearly ate too much as I gained 5 pounds. Enjoy your cruise
  9. Our favorite suite is the Crown Loft- close to costal kitchen and suite lounge- seaview quiet- two bathrooms and tons of storage. Some cannot do steps- but if you can, it is heaven! We also enjoy the Grand suites- IMO once you have the suite perks- including the suite deck- hard to go back to any other cabin/suite. Enjoy your cruise
  10. Have them. Saw a video on YouTube. One person had things hanging and all over the room. I cannot stand the clutter. Will probably leave extra clothes in suit case under bed
  11. I have seen a few videos on YouTube. So the suites have been occupied.
  12. My DH and I will be sailing on the Icon. We are booked in a surfside family suite. Looking at the videos, the closet and drawer space seem very limited. We do not travel light. The price worked for us as we like the suite amenities. Any comments about hanging and storage? Also is it noisy? Hope our move up bid is accepted! Thanks
  13. Never got a free dinner- nor lunch in SP restaurant and we always sail in suites-with a good TA, they might give you a free lunch or dinner in a sp restaurant as a perk. Enjoy your cruise.
  14. We have also been to cocoCay and Labadee multiple times- still enjoy getting off the ship as always something new-on CoCo Cay the beach club is great- Enjoy your day on board- we no longer get off in PR if a stop on a ship as they typically arrive at 4 PM- we have been to PR multiple times.
  15. Just call your TA and ask them to send you verification . Enjoy your cruise.
  16. Another question, we were on the Oasis a couple of months ago, in a CLS, we got free cocktails, not just wine, beer and soda, during happy hour- I believe 5-8. They didn't count with our vouchers. Is this still the case on all ships? Things keep changing-
  17. We are in a sky class suite. Will we have turn down service nightly? Any removed perks from the Oasis Class Sky class suites? Thanks
  18. Kids are very accepting- as the song goes- "You've got to be taught". Just explain to your son that some people aren't very nice- and to try to ignore them. But definately advise the kids club attendants the day you enroll your son.
  19. we go on the ship a week from Saturday and I will report back. All supposed to be wonderful!
  20. We tip $15-20 extra per day for good service. Drinks we give $1 to the server per drink- also a could of $$ if we get room service. If we have a concierge or butler we also tip.
  21. Worth bidding if you are interested. Since the ship has so many regular balcony cabins, with a reasonable bid going from an inside cabin to a balcony cabin odds are pretty good. Even a ship that appears booked, cancellations do happen. Going from a balcony to a suite- because of inventory is less likely. Good luck
