  1. There was no shuttle from where we parked our car at the pier to where we checked in for the cruise. After we checked in there is a short shuttle ride to the ship. That will end when the new building and 900 car parking lot is built.

It is easy to drop your luggage at the check in building then drive to the parking lot and walk back...

  2. I am not a travel agent so I have nothing to gain but you can call any travel agent and get the same info or go on line and get the same info.My experience has been to get better deals (perks ) from travel agents then we get from the cruise lines..

  3. We did the May 4th cruise to Bermuda on the Summit and loved it. We were in Aqua cabin and only ate it Blu and two speciality restaurants. We were so happy that we are going to book next year. Everyone that we met on board seemed pleased with the ship and the service as well as the food. .

  4. We were going to book Celebrity next May but we will now wait until some kind of promo or drink package is added to the fare. We are in no hurry. Loved the drink package on our last cruise and just upgraded to premium on our November Reflection cruise.

  5. Last Friday on the Summit in BLU we ordered two glasses of white wine at 13.50 per glass.

We had the premium package but were given a bill for $1.00 to cover the overage. It is hard on board to find waiters and bar tenders who seem to know the correct package prices.

Sell or give away for sales reasons just one package covering what the premium package now covers. If I don't like it I won't buy it but it would make things easier on board.

  6. Just back from the Summit. A man at the bar ordered a shot of whiskey with a side of beer.

Yes that's old time but not something unusual at working class bars. He had to order the whiskey first then wait five minutes to order a beer. It didn't bother him, he waited.

I had the premium package and it was ok. Charged once for a beer and had to go to the front desk to have the charge removed.

  7. We just came back from Bermuda on the Summit and ate in the Normandy on Monday the first formal night and it was maybe one third full while we ate there at 700PM. Service was not great the food was nothing special. The dining experience that we were promised when the Summit first introduced the Normandy is no longer an experience . It is just a dinner. Blu was much better with better service .

  8. Just off the summit today. We had the premium package and could not find a list of what that now included, In BLU , The daily glass of white wine was 13.50 and I got a bill at the end of our meal for $ 1.15 for the 50 cent per glass that we went over the premium limit. I just thought that because the red and white wine were the special that night they would be part of the package, No price levels could be found at any bar that we went to. Really a $1 bill

Also on boarding day they increased the price on Bistro on Five from $5 per person to 7 per person. SURPRISE

  9. Well said by both posters. My daughter works for a process management consulting company that deals only with oil and gas line companies who long ago saw the advantages in paying now

    for future profits.

I worked for thirty five years at GE and very familiar with the six sigma process. A Jack Welsh favorite.

You will have a hard time getting cruise lines to invest in any process training.
