  1. The most helpful person we've ever met on a ship. He was tireless in March trying to get us all off the Quest safely. He had a special place in his heart for Cruise Critic passengers.
  2. One, on Journey skipping from one Med island to another between Barcelona and Athens, next September. We booked it on Quest in March with the credit we received for our truncated Cape Town to Dubai cruise. But, like Phil, we won't take it if there's not a vaccine.
  3. India. Need to see the Taj Mahal, which was supposed to come at the end of our Cape Town to Dubai cruise that got truncated by Covid in March. And Cambodia for Angkor Wat.
  4. Were you on this cruise or are you reporting what you have heard from someone who was?
  5. Well, piling on the pedantic theme, here in Kentucky its Scotch whisky and bourbon whiskey. And that's how it appears on bar menus! And Jim Beam White Label, which is what is referred to on the Azamara list, is abysmal. If you walk into a bar here and the well bourbon is Jim Beam White, you should just walk away. Jim Beam Black Label, on the other hand (likely not available across the pond), is a magnificent bargain.
  6. Do not miss the ruins at Ephesus, they are spectacular.
  7. The biggest difference is size. You won't have the lines at elevators, restaurants, tenders, etc. that you have on huge ships. And no assigned dinner times or tables. Everything is at a more refined, relaxed pace. We started our cruising on Celebrity, but once we tried Azamara, we've never been back.
  8. We use a very famous TA with multiple locations internationally, which we could visit in person but actually interface with through e-mail and phone. They also want payment about a week before the cruise line requires payment. I have had no problem contacting the TA and asking if I can delay payment until closer to the cruise line's deadline if it makes a difference on my credit card closing date. And the charge, regardless of when the TA submits it, is on MY personal charge card, not the TA's. Sounds like the experience in the UK, at least on this point, is very different.

    👍. Totally agree.

    Larry Stepping Down!

    How old is he?
  11. Could I ask where you read this?
  12. Thank you; exactly what I wanted to know. I don't need to be checking very often until the fall.
  13. I understand current conditions may impact things, but ordinarily when would Disney release their winter/spring 2022 cruise schedule?
  14. All India ports now cancelled. Azamazing Evening, which had been rescheduled for Cochin, is now cancelled. Heading for Muscat in Oman, then Abu Dhabi, then Dubai, but who know how many more changes may be coming. Captain is doing all he can to deal with a very fluid situation.
  15. On the Quest. Confirming this report. We will get an extra day in Mumbai. Azamazing Evening will have to be rescheduled.
  16. Well that is good news. Color me one who was not pleased with the idea that the MDR breakfast was going to be less formal. Does anyone know if this whole idea extends to Quest?

Am I correct that there are no verandah cabins on Windstar?
  18. Aren't these items on the "Always Available" portion of the regular dining room menu?

    Included wines.

I do hope you don't think you get everything listed without buying some sort of upgrade.

    Onboard credit

Spa treatments, like couples massages, on sea days.

    Sign-In Issues

Maybe I just needed to air my grievances. Suddenly letting me in.

    Sign-In Issues

Anyone else having trouble signing into your account? I'm trying to see if there are new excursions offered, but when I try to sign in I get the following message: "We've got your info. However, we're unable to bring up your account right now, so please try again later." Both yesterday and today, same problem.

    Azamara vs Oceania

Unless you are in a suite, you cannot get a table for 2 at any of the Oceania specialty restaurants. The order in which passengers are able to book them, based on stateroom category, prevents it. Another of the numerous reasons we will never sail with them again.
  24. What if OP sends his contact information to you. At the same time Bonnie could e-mail you asking for that information. Then you can connect the 2.
  25. Surely there is a solution to what has become a very uncomfortable stalemate. I note that some Hosts, e.g., Jazzbeau, have a cruise critic e-mail included in their signature. I know Grandma Cruising does not. But perhaps someone associated with Azamara could post an e-mail address on this thread to which OP could then send his contact information?
