  1. We did ours yesterday and it went OK . Make sure your passport photo contains the page with your signature as well as the opposite page with your photo. If still unsuccessful try resizing the image or changing the format eg JPEG/PDF
  2. I received an email from Azamara this morning reminding me that the 20% quarterly saving offer will be ending soon. After listing a few examples of cruises included in the offer there was a section ' Always + Azamara' , which stated as always included 5 Dining Options , Beverages including Alcohol 24/7, Tips & Gratuities, Exclusive Cultural Events, Unlimited Self Service Laundry. No mention of 'Azamazing Evenings' which is the term they have always used in the past as a USP. I suppose the term "Exclusive Cultural Events" covers Azamazing Evenings but I think that due to costs and logistics the shore side events that we formerly knew as Azamazing Evenings are a thing of the past.
  3. The exact wording from my P & O Booking Confirmation :- "As you have booked under our Early Saver price you will receive second priority for dining. We will capture your dining preference nearer to sailing and we'll do our best ot accommodate it. subject to availability. You will receive notification of your allocated dining once on board." The reason I don't book the select fare is that I don't need the onboard credit and therefore it is very expensive for the privilege of being able to choose a cabin and dining. If they got rid of the OBC and charged small fee , eg.£50 like Marella Cruises do I would be prepared to pay for choosing a cabin and dining.
  4. I believe that when booking an Early Saver Fare you can request your dining preference, although this is not guaranteed. When I asked my TA to check that she had put me down for Freedom Dining she said that it has been years since they were able to request dining preferences. P & O say they will e-mail me nearer departure time, is this correct and how near to departure do they email ? I would be interested in other peoples experiences of booking the Early Saver fare.
  5. I much prefered the O Life choice, being able to choose the benefit that suited me best. I do not like organised excisions and now with Simply More I will end up with a large amount of OBC for something I do not want. I expect that Oceania will hike the price of their excusions and I doubt that having made your choice, the cost will be the exact amount of your OCB. You will either be under the amount and therefore losing some of your OBC or having to pay extra to use it all up!. At least under the O Life system benefit was based on a number of excusions depending on the length of the cruise. I would have prefered Oceania to include gratuities in their pricing and if necessary given a smaller amount of OBC to be used however you wished, e.g. Spa, Drinks Packages, Shops, Tours etc. It is unlikely that I will be booking any further Oceania cruises under the Simply More system.
  6. My cruise is next month and I have not yet received any luggage labels from Oceania. Prior to previous Oceania cruises I always used to receive a personalised "Blue Book" whcih contained details of the excursions and luggage labels. I understand from previous threads that this book is no longer being sent out. I have printed out my boarding card but could not see any way of printing any luggage labels, have I missed something ? Should I contact Oceania ? I am in the UK.
  7. Got fed up with it half way through. Binned it !

    OBC Issues

My OBC was mentioned on my on line account, albeit not an amount. I checked with guest relations as soon as I got on board as it was not showing on the TV in the stateroom. I was told it would be added the following day but it wasn't. On day three I chased it up, showing my Azamara invoice to guest relations and it was finally added later that day. I am afraid shore side admin contiunes to be a mess.
  9. I am another one who likes to see the prices, cabin availability and flight options before I pick up the phone to the travel agent. It saves them time and I have a reasonable idea of what I am likely to be paying for the total package. Earlier this year the web site was such a mess that I found it easier to book a Oceania cruise for September. Last month Azamara had an exceptionally good offer for some cruises in October/ November. I contacted my usual travel agent but being unable to see cabin availability and flights whole process was rather time consuming with phone calls back and forth. I was only given a choice of two cabins in the area I wanted, maybe that was all that was available but I doubt it. I went ahead with the booking and when I got the paper work through a week later I discovered that she had booked the wrong cabin in a totally different area. Fortunately she was able to get me another cabin in the area I wanted, if that had not been possible I would have cancelled the cruise. Ultimately the mistake was the agents but was not helped by me not being able to see availability and check my booking on line.

    New website.

Despite having cruised regularly with Azamara for the past 13 years, according to my account I am Adventure level with 0 points. I am fed up with trying to get it corrected before my cruise next month. The numerous completed on line forms only generate a standard reply suggesting changing my password, which is not the issue. However I have just logged in to my Celebrity Captains Club Account and checked my past cruise history, the loyalty level was correct and only one cruise from last year was missing . I was also suprised to find it included the two Azamara cruises that I took earlier this year which I thought would no longer be included in my Captains Club history.

    New website.

My Azamara Account currently shows incorrect loyalty status and 0 points. I am sure, from all the posts on here regarding the new website chaos that I am not the only one. Having reported it to Azamara using one of their forms, I received a standard acknowledgement which states that although I may be seeing incorrect information they have the accurate information in their system. Surely if you cannot display the correct information it would be better not to show any information at all. Has anyone else who has had this problem had trouble with their loyalty status once on board. I have a cruise next month and dread the thought of joining a long queue to prove my status before I can access any benefits. Despite not being able to check in on line for my last cruise in May I found the check in process at the port to be relatively smooth and quick.
  12. What is the current situation regarding luggage labels? Azamara have emailed me my boarding passes and details of check in times for my cruise next month but there no luggage labels included. I expect they will be available at the port but I like to be organised in advance to save time and hassle.
  13. We used Portsmouth cruise terminal twice in 2021 when travelling on a couple of UK cruises with Viking. It is a small terminal and after checking in we were bused out to the ship. The experience was positive but this was during covid times when numbers travelling were low.
  14. If I use the computers near Baristas on Riviera to access my airline booking is there a charge for printing out the boarding pass? We have free wi fi as part of our booking.

    New website.

How do you check your loyalty level ? When I log in to my account the only options it gives me are Upcoming cruises and Sign Out.
  16. I too am becoming frustrated with not being able to check cabin availabilty on the new web - site. They need to get this fixed quickly. I am currently in the market for cruise later this year but am currently looking at Oceania as it is easier to check the day by day itinerary, prices and vacant cabins
  17. Ship - Onward Cabin No: 6050 Year: March 2023 Standard Balcony Cabin V3 Noise issue - Yes Would NOT choose this cabin again This cabin is directly located above the shops on deck 5. The shop doors/shutters are on a rail system and are manually operated causing a great deal of noise and vibration in the cabin around the door area whenever they were open or closed. Since the shops tend to close around 23:30 we were disturbed every night apart from the 2 overnights we had in port.

    New website.

Having just activated my account on the new web site I managed to log in successfully. Upcoming cruises are not currently showing but there is a section for Communication Preferences which gives you the opportunity to opt in for marketing offers and loyatly communication emails. I suggest this maybe worth completing if you are one of the many that never received emails from Azamara.

    Muster Drill

Is the muster drill still being done in small groups as you board the ship or have they reverted to the pre covid system of everyone attending their muster station at a set time before sailing ?
  20. If you read the notes at the bottom of the full table it says "Using the table: In November 2022 we asked 1727 members of Which? Connect and the general public about their experience of cruise holidays in the past two years." Cruising shut down completely in early 2020 due to covid and has only slowly restarted in the past year with cruise lines having to follow strict protocols so I would argue that those surveyed did not enjoy the normal cruise line experience. All cruise lines have suffered with supply problems, staff shortages, reduced capacity etc. Therefore I take the results of this survey with a large pinch of salt.
  21. If you do end up anchoring in Villefranche it is a short walk from the tender dock to the station where you can get a train to either Nice or Monaco.

    New website.

I suggest getting a print out of your cruise history from your Azamara account before change over day in case any of you past cruises or points go missing in the switch over
  23. Have Azamara discontinued the 10% quarterly saving for past passengers? I have just looked on the UK website and there is a long list of cruises which qualify, but they had to be booked by 31 December 2022. I can't find any cruises which qualify if booked now in this quarter.
  24. Azamara is my favourite cruise line and Oceania comes a close second. I love the friendliness and relax atmosphere of Azamara. The quality of the food on Oceania is slightly better although I find the variety is greater on Azamara. The specialty restaurants are better on Oceania and there is no supplement. The wines on the Oceania included package are far superior to those offered by Azamara (unless you pay extra for the upgrade). Oceania prices now seem a lot higher than Azamara, so value for money I would choose Azamara.
  25. Do Riviera and Marina ever dock in Bordeaux, or are they too large to sail up the river ?
