  1. Actually the pics I posted were from the first place we stopped which I think was called Playa Bonita maybe. Coconuts was the second place and it was highly elevated on a cliff. Long climb up there for me and glad I don't drink much anymore! 😝

  2. Weren't any labels that looked top shelf or even middle to me! Margarita ok. Dirty Monkey too sweet but I don't like that kind of stuff anyway.

  3. We were there in Jan 2014. Weather was a little suspect when we docked but went anyway. We managed to have a couple beers on the beach and my daughter did a little beach snorkeling. There was obviously a storm brewing out in the Sea and by 1p it was a torrential downpour that didn't let up. The last couple of hours were miserable. You can only cram so many folks into a partially covered pool and elbow to elbow drunks just not my idea of fun anymore. We got a cab back into town and picked up a couple items we wanted for home and boarded ship. The week got no better weather wise. Missed Roatan completely and didn't bother taking tender into Belize.

  4. The "issue" for us on the Royal in October was on more than one occasion my friend was first in the cabin and stuck her key card in the slot. She then decided to run an errand, grabbed her card and left. Once I was on the balcony in the dark and the other time over by the desk looking for something when it was LIGHTS OUT!! I now have an old gift card that is in my passport holder just in case we're on since an equipped ship again! It'll be conveniently stored on the backside of the door! 😝

  5. There are all kinds of stores there inc liquor, tobacco, costmetics, Pandora etc as well as independent vendors. The cigarettes and booze were way cheaper than the ship. I bought 3 bottles of Kahlua for $15 I think. They had a 3-$15 deal and you could mix/match. The Kahlua was the best bargain for me. Also cigarettes were significantly cheaper than the ship was but don't remember the cost. A 2-carton pkg of Marlboro Lights was around $70 on the ship....want to say $50 @ the PM shop. I was getting them for someone else and she was very happy with the "value". Yeh I know, we won't even GO there! :)

  6. --I would search You Tube for some Mahogany Bay videos of that area. I had booked the clamshell chairs, kayak etc for myself and my adult daughter for our upcoming cruise and after watching a video taken by a guy a couple months back decided that cattle call set up was just not for us. And as the OP said, you can walk the path right down there without a hitch. The you tuber videographed from the chair ride so it's very easy to see exactly what's involved in chair versus walk.

At this point I'm not sure what we are going to do in Roatan....weather looking kinda iff-y so we may wait until getting to the pier and go from there. I'd like to go to West Bay area but not sure my daughter will want to do that....we'll see.

  7. I was on a New England/Canada cruise in Oct and we hiked our way up to the MUTS deck to watch the Steelers play somebody. We didn't stay very long, it was very cold and windy but I had my imaginary "thrill" of what it must be like to go to a pro game in an outdoor stadium in the cold states! It was a priceless experience. I'll never see a pro game @ gone since that would be handing $$ over to Jerry Jones and thatll NEVER HAPPEN! Go Packers!! 😝

  8. We are doing the Cozumel Bar Hop on our cruise in a couple weeks. It goes over to the "wild side" which is east side of island. Ive been to Coz many many times and haven't been over there in years. It looks fun. Google them. They're on trip advisor too.

  9. In theory you can make a "reservation" for ATD. In reality I've never experienced that! You're supposed to be able to reserve the morning of the dinner and not any farther in advance but my experience has been being unable to get any decent time even if I called as soon as dine line opened up.

  10. Please define "good rate" at wharf or Embarcdero area. I don't want to say my friend and I are cheap but we certainly are practical and budget conscious! 😝. At this point we are booked @ the Hampton Inn/Suites @ SFO and will take their airport shuttle and then get BART into town to do what we want to do. We're not night owls so ️prob wrap up with early dinner and head back to the crib to rest up for the next day's excitement! 😊😝

  11. Thanks Pam! That is the persons name they gave me and I've heard back from her. Now back to the board to see what the consensus there is.

You wouldn't happen to know the contact person for Grand in August would you? 😊

  12. Does anyone have contact info for the CS rep assigned to the Emerald currently? I've been on the phone x3 today with 3 diff people and finally got a name and EM but having difficulty with it. I've set these up in the past and seem to know more about it than PCL does! 😳
