  1. Shashamane Water Taxi Israel King water taxi Probably Captain Dell Ocean Angel All worth checking with .
  2. I'm curious how you would already have tokens for the machine, if you've never done laundry in the laundry room aboard? It's one token per cycle, purchased by tapping/swiping your medallion. Lots of people being their own detergent and/or dryer sheets .
  3. Nope Princess isn't a line that dies theme nights like some. Formal/dress to impress and currently, there's a short 80s party where essentially the cruise staff wears some neon and they teach a few line dances to some 80s music. There's no white night or tropical night or flower power night or anything like that on Princess.
  4. You'll note, of course, that there's a solid 26+ hours between my post and your kind "correction" aka scolding.. sheesh.. Yesterday, at 7pm on Oct 6, nobody had declared "Yankee" , no airlines had issued travel advisories in order to waive change fees, etc. And that I very clearly stated - yesterday - that people needed to monitor the storm, and that it was too early to make any definitive statements. You got me. 🙄 SMH..
  5. Yes, virtually all airlines are, as of this morning. They were not when the OP proactively changed their flight..
  6. Of course. Grab one when heading to your cabin, when going on excursions, order via Ocean Now for delivery, etc
  7. Last two times in Miami, App boarding pass was all we showed. I expect it to be the same next week also.
  8. Sugar Beach and Jalousie Beach are the same place.. Anse Cochon has wonderful snorkeling, all along the extensive healthy reef system, along the cliff sides, Plus there's a downed boat that's grown into an extensive reef of its own, although it's more of a dive site..
  9. Unlikely, considering Milton is forecast to hit far narth and on the west Coast, hundreds of miles from Port Everglades - and forecast to hit sometime early Wed, when Sun should already be in port.. Fort Lauderdale/Port Everglades isn't expecting hurricane force, or even tropical storm force, anything - at this time. Could the forecast track change, which would change forecast affects? Of course - that's why people monitor and make changes as needed. It's too early to make any definitive statements..
  10. No airlines are yet issuing travel advisories due to Milton. OP was proactive - and thus, at their cost ..
  11. No, neither Delta, AA, JetBlue, Spirit or Frontier have any Travel Advisory for South Florida aka WPB, FLL, MIA, etc. To far out to know what, if any, effects may be. OP did a voluntary flight change, with attendant fees associated with it, as it wasn't due to any Flight Advisory, etc. No insurance claim is going to be settled based on possible, 4 days away at best, maybe scenarios.. (And yes, TS Milton is heading that way - as far as Airlines, insurance, etc - it's a maybe possible event....
  12. Fort Lauderdale isn't forecast to be taking a direct hit of any kind. It's forecast to hit the west coast directly, currently forecast near Tampa. Fort Lauderdale will be getting outer bands of wind and rain. How much and how strong is too early to tell. If it' strengthens a lot and shifts south, you may or may not be porting Tuesday night, given the outer bands will be a lot more directly affecting south Florida.....if it stays current projections of a 2 or low 3, and hits Tampa area, Fort Lauderdale isn't going to get near as much.. Too early to say anything definitive as yet though... Following both NHC/NOAA and Zoom Earth is great for progress and updates. https://zoom.earth/maps/precipitation/#view=24.505,-87.778,6z/model=gfs/overlays=fires Milton models: https://img.stormcarib.com/models.php?snum=14
  13. No, they truly can notify you as late as 2 days prior. If you print your luggage tags, and your room is then changed due to bid acceptance, just cross out the old room number and write in the new. Or get blank tags from the porters at port. Or reprint from hotel lobby computer or Internet Cafe, etc And, FWIW, I only bid the minimums on my upgrade bids. I've had several accepted. Have gone from inside to Oceanview for $20 - total. And from obstructed balcony to deluxe balcony for $40, total. It does vary.. I'm also always quite happy with my original booked cabin, so it's a non-issue if I don't get an upgrade bid accepted, and I never move the needle to God or strong or whatever. Absolute minimum bids every time...
  14. Dining can generally be made once final payment is paid. You have oodles of time. I wouldn't even be thinking about it til maybe a year out, if that. Excursions, generally 12-16 months out or so. You can periodically check the Manage Booking on the website to see when they're available. In Alaska, private providers are also excellent, ie Harv and Marv in Juneau for Whale Watching or Chilkoot Chatters for a wide range of tours and activities at most ports, etc. Well worth checking private also.. Enjoy
  15. Riverside Hotel on Las Olas. 10, 15 minutes from Port, maybe . excellent location, beautiful old Florida charm property, water taxi station right there, tons of restaurants and bars, shops , art galleries, museum, etc. delightful spot
  16. Yes, it'll be updated to the new location. It may not show such in the app, but you'll go to wherever the Crown Grill is at the time for dinner
  17. If you're in a Sanctuary Collection cabin, it'll be the pinkish salmon color. Lower category staterooms have been white with the sea witch denoting CC status If you don't like it, you can get custom stickers aboard to put in instead.
  18. It varies by excursion. Some are 24 hours prior, some are 48 and some are 72.. If you can't cancel now, via app or website - then you'll have to do so aboard the ship, and it may be too late, as you're noting the excursion is on the day after embarkation... Good luck.
  19. It's majorly disappointing to me. Princess has done away with property clubs on all their newer builds - and those that had them, like Club 6 on Royal and Regal or Take 5 on Discovery, Enchanted, etc are all being converted to more casino space. Go figure. It's sent us to other lines actually. We'll still sail Princess, but dancing in the lobby aka atrium /piazza (for all intents and purposes) is not my thing... Edge class ships with Celebrity or MSc for me! Proper clubs, DJs, loads of live music, and people who actually dance, instead of sitting around the edges watching the cruise staff try to get anyone up and participating!
  20. Nope, no club. Nightclub type Dancing is in the atrium, or in the Dome some few nights.
  21. Thanka for sharing this. You do have some few mistakes that should get corrected. One on the $$$ slide, title Money of St Lucia. The next line reads about Grenada, not St Lucia (although the currency and exchange rate are the same, your first line is: The official currency of Grenada is the East Caribbean Dollar. You'll need to change that Grenada to St Lucia! And then, on the slide about Pigeon Island - you have it titled The Pitons National Park, and go on to talk about Pigeon Island, not the Pitons... Plus, you have the Pigeon Island slide twice. Also, time to update your taxi costs. You're looking closer to $35-40 to Rodney Bay from the port, rather than $20-25.. Overall, great job!!
  22. It's about 30-45 minutes from Port by cab, $45usd one way. $10 entry fee. Hikes, ruins, beach. The restaurant has been closed for renovations and refurbished for some time, so there may or may not be good and drinks available inside the park Outside the park, there's several local restaurants and bars on the beachfront... Couple your operators used to offer a package deal for cruisers - transport, beach chair, entry fee, drinks cooler. Not sure anyone is doing that anymore though. Serenity Vacations, Solar Tours, Island Man Taxi and Tours, Explore St Lucia, Lucian Explorer, etc maybe...
  23. FWIW - I posted this in a thread way way back when Premier changed, and I was "pooh poohed" for noting that they specifically stated "prix fixe" meals for specialty dining under unlimited. Go figure. I, for one, had no illusion that it meant I could order unlimited amounts of whatever the heck I wanted off the menu at any time .I figured dining would be same as without a package.. essentially, one item from each course, upcharge for a second entree, as per how it's been for years... Yes, Princess has been very opaque about unlimited with regards to the casual dining, and it's been very ship and personnel dependent on whether you could have multiple items or were restricted to the set 3 course prix fixe, etc.. apparently, they're going the same way with unlimited specialty... Opaque and unclear and likely ship/personnel dependent.. Annoying, for sure.. And yes, we cruise MSc frequently - and they're dining packages and free specialty dining for Diamond is a set prix fixe menu, with anything else available at an upcharge...
  24. Royal tea has been available, at charge ($10/20) since Royal Princess launched in 2013.. not new at all. Personal tower of foods, champagne or not, better tea, etc. it's held in the round seating area in the Piazza, near int'l Cafe... The Sun Royal Tea is slightly different in that it includes a demonstration/talk from the former chef to the Queen, etc. and, $30. There's also included tea in the buffet, scones, sandwiches, etc. on all ships, everyday, in addition to the afternoon MDR tea on sea days... And yes, Elite/Suite afternoon tea can still be ordered on every ship...
  25. We don't eat before 8:30, if we can help it! As you can imagine, finding time slots is a virtual non-issue for us! We'll make exceptions for special events like Spellbound or Chef's Table or Winemakers dinner.. otherwise, for us, Princess (and Celebrity, etc) dining rooms close too early overall. We end up in Alfredo's or similar more than we'd like in order to eat at 9 or later. MSc is ideal as they're late dining is often 9 or so, and you can get food in the buffet til 2 or 3am. Fortunately, we at least have IC or room service or Lido deck to fall back on with Princess.. Celebrity is tougher, for sure .
