  1. Thank you. Did you feel safe walking around by yourselves?
  2. Thank you. I did send a message telling her our ships name and arrival time. There is another couple that has also signed up. Wandering if you went to a beach or restaurant that you can suggest for the afternoon? How long was the tour? Again thank you for the suggestion.
  3. Thank you, I booked the 9:30 tour. We dock at 9am will that be enough time to walk to meeting spot? cheers, Karen
  4. Hi,we are taking our first Marella cruise in Feb.2020. Since we are Canadian and booked through Sunwing in Canada I can not book on line excursions. I was wondering if you have found that there are still plenty of excursions left for on board bookings. I will get the app when on board hopefully and do as suggested here. The reason I can not get on now is that the Cdn booking number is not recognized online. Cheers
  5. Doctors Cave Beach in Jamaica is the nicest and closest to cruise terminal. Our flight does not get into Montego Bay until after 2pm so by the time we board might be too late. We are not going to Roatan on our cruise. Cheers, Karen
  6. Hi, has anyone taken the water ferry from the cruise terminal in Santa Marta to Playa Blanca? If so did you enjoy it? Any other suggestions for Santa Marta would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. That is about 80.00US with lunch and use of hotel pools? Looking to do beach day in Santa Marta as this will be only beach opportunity on the cruise. I will look up Taganga beach and see if that might be an option by taxi. Thanks for posting this thread.
  8. Very nice to meet you and your wife on board. Thank you for sharing the video.
  9. Thank you . We are going in April so maybe we will have better luck. Karen
  10. Thanks for the beautiful pics, makes me even more excited. What would be your perfect port day for Rarotonga? Also have you made it into port every time, I heard it might be a 50/50% chance of being able to tender? Thanks, Karen
  11. I love this idea for our day in April 2019. Would love to know where you stopped along the way. Did you feel pressure to get back to port on time? Thanks so much, Karen
  12. Great suggestions. For a great evening go to the House without a Key for a drink and to see the dancers then dinner elsewhere. The Banyon court with music and dancing is a little less expensive. There are some really great deals for "happy hour" with appetizer specials , like the revolving restaurant "Top of Waikiki" and the Hula Grill. The Hau Tree Lanai is very beautiful and good reasonable menu, close to the Aquarium, it has an "old Hawaii feel". You can't go wrong with Duke's, great location and often life music. Happy planning, Karen
  13. Received our 80 day out email last week. Wondering do the minimum bids change as the cruise gets closer, either higher or lower? If so might make sense to wait? Thanks
  14. Hi I know that there are people with local knowledge of Hamburg and area out there. I hope you will share some ideas, hotel accomodations, areas to stay away from and destinations close by to see. I am looking for a hotel for 3 nights pre- cruise. From tour books I was leaning towards Hotel Hafen Hamburg and the Movenpick (I now have heard negatives to that location). My DH and I are late 50's, love photography, history and people watching. Would love to take a train out of Hamburg to a medieval type town. I have started this new thread instead of using Annies thread because that is more or less for NE Germany questions (Berlin).Hopefully this thread will get the attentions of those with Hamburg expertise. Any and all info would be appreciated. Sincerely Karen
