  1. Can someone please explain why on navigator the pre pay for 18 days is $374.40. It says gratuities are $16.00 per day. My math says that is total of $288.00.
  2. Been cruising HAL since the 90’s. Have no inclination to sail elsewhere. I make my own itinerary along with the ships. Just thankful I am able to cruise.
  3. I pack food grade plastic gloves. They are very inexpensive and take up very little room. Use them lido, casino, washroom anywhere other people may touch barehanded. Just stick them in my pocket.
  4. Sorry. I was just figuring total flight time.
  5. Don’t know where the Honolulu-Toronto 12 hour flight figures come from. Toronto - San Diego 5hrs on to Honolulu is less distance. Much less than the suggested extra 7 hrs.
  6. 2016. Flight air Canada Toronto to Vancouver short stop, on to Sydney. Total time including stop in Vancouver 20 1/2 hours.

  8. Talk to your teller, especially if she or he knows you. I have not problem getting 50 $1.00 U.S. bills
  9. Always cash for me. As Canadian the credit charge is at the current exchange rate plus 2 1/2 percent. I go to the desk the day before disembarking and ask to put the next daily charge on my bill and pay in cash. Easy pee’s y.
  10. Would appreciate it if anyone on the K can tell me if you can order bottle of Smirnoff vodca for the room and the cost. No mixes. It is not on the list for pre order as it was earlier this year. It is a very small list now and the prices are ridiculous. Thank you.
  11. Come on people! Get with the times. The latest fashion trend along with ripped jeans is odd socks. Smarten up !
  12. Ya no wot. Sure I don’t want a huge wait to board, but, I’m cruising and that’s the bottom line Yeah.
  13. As a novice wine maker, DH first batch was in a new plastic garbage bucket with a garbage bag tied as a lid, cooking away. On the cedar chest in the bedroom to keep it away from the pets. In the night the yeast did its thing and blew the bag of it and left us with purple stalagmites on the ceiling. Forgive the spelling.
  14. I would not recommend it. Food was just ok. Nothing different. Seating very uncomfortable on a picnic bench where the sand needed raking to level. Feet were swinging. Show was good but a long time sitting on a narrow bench facing the wrong way. Had to turn your head and juggle it around others.
  15. I respect how others feel about the royal family. I grew up with kings Edward, queen Mary ,king. George and elizabeth. Wonderful memories going through my scrapbooks. Times change.
  16. @kazu agree. I still have the scrap books I started in 1949. I add to them once in a while.
  17. @OlsSalt agree. Not just reminders of wonderful times with late H but a l overly add on to our glass table.
  18. It was on my card when I inserted in the machine.
  19. I have m,y favorite cabin. Had it more then once. People turn it down but I love it for deck and location. No, I ain’t gonna tell you where or why.
  20. I have always had a hole in mine and wore it on my HAL lanyard but on the K this year no hole so I punch one. The card would not work. Apparently the hole was the culprit. Was not near the bar code.
  21. Absolutely trans pacific from Sydney to Vancouver 2016. Wonderful to experience the islands on our way, the celebrations crossing the date line and equator. Unfortunately un known at the time our final cruise together. But so many happy. memories
