Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We have had the same experience, we pull up and a porter just appears and takes our luggage, we also arrive early. So that certainly could be the difference. Either way it would be easy enough to drive through the drop off and see if there is a porter available. If not, then resort to one of the back up plans (park and walk up, or drop the car off and take the shuttle)
  2. I agree that the picture sales pitch was hard. They sat me down and showed me HUNDREDS of 4x6 prints. The stack was a good 4-5" tall. However, I didn't want to deal with it so I just asked how much for everything. lol Ended up getting all of the 4x6 prints, a framed 8x10, a bunch of additional 8x10 prints unframed, a print on aluminum (bigger than 8x10 but not sure the size). Two USB drives will all the photos, and a photo montage they guy created. Don't remember exact price but somewhere between $450-500. My wife has been upset for 15 years that we didn't have enough photographs of our wedding. Well I wasn't going to make that mistake this time.
  3. My wife and I just renewed our vows on the Diamond in November. It was a private ceremony in the Wheelhouse bar. Once we got on the ship we had a message to call (dont remember who) and schedule the date and time. We only had a couple of options though. They asked what color flowers my wife liked and that was about it. We showed up at the wheelhouse not quite knowing what to expect. They had flowers everywhere, an aisle set up for us to walk down to meet the captain whom was officiating. For $250 we weren't expecting much, however, we were extremely happy with the way it turned out and would do it again in a heartbeat! Here are a few pics to get an idea: f
  4. Honestly they never offered and we never thought to ask. Supports what Don said, we should have asked. 😞 Our little guy is good about not putting everything in his mouth, but that is a very good point and a valid concern. Probably better not to take the risk, especially not on a shipwide scale.
  5. Yes, on our last cruise in November, our 10 y/o received a gold medallion, and he received a Ruby medallion for our upcoming cruise. However, our two year old was too young to get a medallion at all per Princess rules. He was actually quite upset, he wanted one like his older brother.
  6. We loved them as well, however, we thankfully snagged a few extras when we heard they were going away. Should last us a bit longer still.
  7. Never stopped to think about it, but that makes a lot of sense. Seems like numbers would make more sense but that's only when looking at the number it self (Deck 8, 9, 10, etc.). When it came to pronouncing the number, 8 could end up being Eight, Ocho, Acht, Hachi, etc. That could get confusing real quick.
  8. We were told the same things so we bought some air tag watch bands and an air tag wallet (wanted to use it similar to the old key cards) off of Amazon before our last cruise in November. However, our experience was that they don't fit quite the same. It kept popping out of the watch bands and didn't stay in the wallet at all. We ended up buying new accessories on the ship.
  9. I have been having difficulty all evening. I just kept reloading it and eventually I got it to work.
  10. My apologies if i wasn't clear, I mean we are concerned whether the cruise will actually sail or if it will be canceled. Also concerned that there may be issues due to the fact that any bugs may not have been worked out in regards to service/dining/staffing etc. as this is the first cruise the Diamond is going to have with passengers on it since pre COVID. My concerns have nothing to do with COVID itself or the fact that it is the Diamond specifically as we have already been on two previous cruises (RCCL) this year.
  11. We are on the first cruise on Nov 20th. Nervous as heck as to if its going to happen, and if it does... what issues we may run into being the first cruise of the Diamond post COVID.
