Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Multiple ways to tackle this one: If you booked through a travel agent (TA), reach out to your TA and he/she/they can get that taken care of for you. Generally it is assumed that the beds are together, but they can submit the request to separate. If memory serves, the option (together vs separate) is part of the booking process...i.e., checking a box... so if it was missed, you can try calling Royal and they can make the update. If you are in a suite (GS or above), the Concierge will be reaching out to you a few days prior to sailing with a variety of information and offers to assist. He/she can help with this request. As a last resort, you can always catch your cabin steward on embarkation day. They are almost always bustling around to introduce themselves to their guests as they arrive and offering to assist with whatever is needed. Though not ideal since they are usually busy getting cabins in order for other guests too, it is possible.
  2. Following. Very interested as we will be sailing Radiance beginning May 17 on the front end of an Alaska cruisetour.
  3. We will be taking our first ever Alaska cruise and first ever cruisetour (8A) in May 2024. Beyond excited.
  4. We are taking our first cruisetour and first Alaska sailing in May 2024 on Radiance. THIS is best information and suggestions received to-date. Thank you. 🙂
  5. We're stepping onboard in Nov 2023...so in just a couple short weeks.
  6. Thank you! That is what we wanted/needed to know. Much appreciated.
  7. It has been more than "a minute" since we last sailed. In fact, we returned from our last cruise in Feb 2020 only days before the COVID19 lockdown took effect that changed everyone's lives. Anyway, things have stabilized in our personal world now (work & family) to the point we are finally able to step back on board. So we are trying to recreate our last adventure...same ship (Allure of the Seas) and same cabin (Crown Loft Suite). There is one question though...since it has been couple years and things change. We love the location of the CLS and the convenience and privacy of things...suite lounge and Coastal Kitchen. Now for the question...we know breakfast and a "happy hour" are available in the suite longe during designated hours and the lounge itself is open 24-hours...the last time we sailed limited beverages (i.e., beer, wine, soda...) were available between 11:30-1:00. Is that still the case? We haven't been able to find any RECENT confirmation of this online and realize that this may have changed. We're just curious what to expect and hoping to hear from anyone who has a more recent Allure suite guest experience. Thank you in advance!
  8. I completely echo these comments/thoughts. We've been in GS and OS on multiple ships on multiple occasions. While we were initially concerned about "feeling isolated" when we had the opportunity to book a side-facing CLS a couple years ago...all of the features and benefits of the CLS far outweighed anything else. LOVED it and can't wait to book a CLS again.
  9. I can't wait...for the trip of a lifetime. 🙂
  10. YAY...excited to see this. Our TA just keeps reassuring me that everything will be perfectly fine. We sail out of Vancouver on May 2024 for a 13-night cruisetour. We fly in the day/night before and are staying at the Pan Pacific. Short of the transportation from the airport to hotel (which we haven't even thought of yet)...THIS sounds like the easiest trip from hotel to port we have ever had. Thank you!!
