  1. Yes, it is a U.K. perk as I used it years ago, but thanks for posting that it’s still applicable as I thought it may have gone when the US rules changed to NRD (and paying extra for refundable), again a few years ago now.
  2. It’s been like it for days now (many posts). I had to create a new password and then it worked 🤷‍♀️.
  3. Yes, our new promotion has changed to 30% off 1st and 2nd guest - far worse - and the prices have risen too. As the flights haven’t been released yet for next year, I’m going to wait and see what happens on the next ‘sale’ as we don’t have refundable deposits. I could book in the US but prefer to keep it over here since covid. I do find it frustrating that the costs for a Caribbean cruise are a fraction of what X charge for the out-of-season sailings in Europe. I realise it’s because of the competition and demand during winter over there, but it was actually nice this year to get a ‘bargain’ when Infinity was redeployed from Israel. Pity we can’t get a break like that every year, prices similar to a winter Caribbean break.
  4. The new sale after the rebranding is definitely worse than the previous sale. Suddenly the prices are up and the discount is down to 30% off both passengers. Holding out now before booking.
  5. We’ve used a US TA to book the majority of our cruises (Celebrity, Royal and Princess). It’s only recently, since COVID, that I’ve been a little hesitant. Having said that, you need to price check on the cruise that you are considering as many European cruises may be cheaper over here than booking in the US. Additionally, many cruise lines are offering free/discounted flights if booked here and that may cancel out any of the reductions of booking in the US. Do a price comparison on both sides of the pond and see what the difference is,
  6. Rhodes was also our favourite port on this itinerary.
  7. Did you hear anything from the Oceanview below?
  8. I think that as we’re going later in the season, not many people will be out watching the movies.
  9. Thanks for replying 👍. We’ve just returned from an Aqua cabin in that location but this is an additional cruise which we want to keep at a budget 😉. We’ve never sailed in an inside previously in all our cruises, so this is going to be a first for us - hoping it will be okay 🤞🏻.
  10. Yes, nothing down on the sticky for deck 11.
  11. Has anyone stayed on deck 11 in an inside cabin on Connie? This would be a first in an inside as it’s an extra, extra unplanned cruise 😁. Just wondering if there is any noise from above or below? We recently stayed in an Aqua class cabin on deck 11 on Infinity and didn’t hear a thing from above, but wondered if the insides would be different due to their location in the centre of the ship. We loved our Aqua cabin but feel that we don’t need, even though we’d like, a balcony for this additional cruise of the year. Any thoughts would be welcome. TIA.
  12. Yes, we were very fortunate with the weather. Michael’s Club looked empty every time we ventured past - our sailing was not full though. Obviously, the OP will be able to give you more feedback 👍.
  13. The weather was sunny there last week when we visited and many locals were out walking on the promenade.
  14. We’ve just returned from Infinity on the sailing prior to yours and there were only a handful of kids on the cruise - it was virtually an adult-only sailing. It was our first time cruising out of school holidays and we did notice a difference. I’ve taken early retirement so that we can travel when we want rather than being forced to school holidays; for us, it was more about being able to take cruises to certain destinations at particular times of the year e.g. Mardi Gras etc. that we wanted and, of course, the huge price difference. Our kids have grown up cruising X and are still wanting to sail with us now they are adults - something that I presume X wants.
  15. Just got off Infinity yesterday and we were pleasantly surprised with the condition of the ship; in fact, it didn’t really feel any different to the last time we were on her. We stayed on deck 11 in an Aqua cabin and our shower had the door and body jets. Capacity was 2047, so it did feel relatively quiet - perhaps more will be on the present sailing as it’s over Easter. The toilet paper was not how I remembered it pre-pandemic. It was similar to the greaseproof paper type we used to have in schools over here in the 70s 🙈. I can’t ever remember X using this type previously. We liked the fact that you could order off the main menu as well as Blu because there was a lot of duck on the Blu menus. The service was fabulous and most staff were very friendly and accommodating. I didn’t really have a problem with the internet - perhaps because our numbers were lower 🤷‍♀️. We used the Persian Garden and it also was very quiet. It’s the first time we’ve ever sailed outside of school holidays and we definitely noticed the difference 👍. We are in one the aft verandas on Millie in Japan. I’m interested to see the difference as she’s been revolutionised.
  16. Just returned from Infinity, which has not been revolutionised either, and we did not have foot stools. Chairs and small table only in Aqua.
  17. Onboard Infinity and still can’t get the Webinar working properly. I’ve taken a screenshot but unsure if I’ll get the points.
  18. Have we crossed the pond in this thread 🧐?
  19. Yes, same for us but as this was an extra cruise for this year, we didn’t bother bidding from our Aqua cabin. The only main difference would have been a slightly bigger cabin, which still wouldn’t have been updated. I’m presuming that most of the ship will be mainly Brits because the pricing was so cheap over here, due to the redeployment.
  20. Thanks, Dianne 😊. We’re getting excited now with only a couple of days remaining.
  21. More similar than different and we’ve sailed both lines (see signature).
  22. We used to enjoy going there, especially on embarkation day. The kids loved it too - fond memories.
  23. I know, but it’s still worth checking the policy to make sure that what is quoted is for the two of them or pp, as was stated by another US poster above.
