OK, so I'm going to start this review all over. I just booked the Freedom for Sept so now I have to go back and pay attention to the pictures. 😁

Hi 🙂
I realize that.
However, the itineraries of Vista & Mardi Gras for September 2024 couldn't be more different from one another.
The difference in itineraries are night & day.
Sept 7th, 2024 the Vista has a terrific 8-day itinerary. Aruba, Curacao & Grand Turk.
And September 21st, 2024 Vista 8-day; Puerto Rico, St Thomas, St Maarten & Amber Cove.
Mardi Gras in September 2024 has 6 & 7-day itineraries going to Nassau, Amber Cove, Cozumel etc, etc, etc..
Again, I want to know about the ships. Not itineraries.

Hi 🙂
Can you list the itineraries & dates anyway. More informed information equals better, more informed replies.
🍹
Both Sept '24. Grand Turk, Amber Cove, HMC I think. My questions was more for the ships than the itinerary since I have been to all of the ports in the past.

For those of you that have been on both what are your pros, cons, and which ship would you choose? I know the Mardi Gras is newer and bigger. The age of the ship doesn't matter to me. Also, the itinerary is almost the same so that isn't an issue.

I am reading @Jamman54 review and Mrs. Patty went to Soul Play. It's an arts and crafts place and she got to do some painting. Does anyone know if they offer that on Liberty?

Patti is going to go to Soul Play to do some arts and crafts. On the way she takes another shot of the Dome Pool, and of DJ Dillandro who is spinning the tunes….
Patti has made it to Soul Play where they have a huge amount of art supplies…..
Patti has her wooden squares and her paint……
The class is about to begin…..
Here are Patti’s finished works. Not bad babe!
Here are some parting words……
To be continued…..
How cute. Is there a charge for that?

Well, first off, thanks for following along. There certainly is no doubt I am a fan of Carnival and cruising on their ships. I will leave the cheerleader comment alone. All my reviews are honest, no reason not to be. This cruise has been calm from a clientele perspective. I have met John several times, but would not call him a special friend.
That said, I do have some Carnival employees that I consider to be good friends in various levels within the company. Even with those, my reviews would not be jaded, good or bad. We have had a wonderful cruise, nothing short of that. There is something strange going on now, more on that later.
I will never, for the life of me, understand that comment. Do people not get loud or drunk on ANY other cruise line than Carnival? I find that hard to believe.

Is it weird that I am bothered by the fact that the cheese is not melted.
It's like going to the Waffle House and they just throw the cheese on your hashbrowns right before they bring it to your table. Like, bro???

She and W will be on the Horizon in April and the Celebration in May. 😎
Actually yes. We have sailed on Cunard, Norwegian, Premier, Celebrity, and Royal Caribbean. We have not strayed from Carnival for a long time and that was because of our boys. They started out on Carnival, but one summer we did the Explorer of the Seas, which they absolutely loved. So when we were ready to book our cruise for the next summer, I asked them which line they wanted to go on, and they said "Carnival "! If they went the other way we would probably be Loyal Royals! We have discussed cruising other lines again, but just haven't pulled the trigger. 😎
That's awesome. I'll be on #14 in 20 days. All on Carnival.

Code Alpha is a medical emergency. As with any emergency, the announcements go out ship-wide to a) ensure those to need to respond hear the announcement...no matter where they are, and b) notify everyone else so that they know to avoid the area around the emergency situation.
I was on a Carnival cruise once when a man fell overboard. They said Code whatever then man overboard, over and over in the middle of the night. Scared us to death. We ran outside to the balcony and could see them shining the spot lights. We circled for 8 hours but the man was never found. The new reported that he did in fact jump and was on his honeymoon. Sad.

I think the web site is one of the places they have cut expenses. We've had all kinds of wonky experiences on there in the last year or so. Old information, offers not showing any availability when you click on the offer, but showing availability when you click on another offer, etc. All signs of less upkeep.
Yes, I've noticed too. A couple of times I've priced a cruise and it was over $5000 for a solo then a few days later it was back to normal. You would think with all the technology it would be up to date.

We wish! Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure you can find great reviews on all the boards. Have you ever thought of trying one? It is a lot of work but it's a great way of re-living your cruise long after it's over. Have a great cruise on the Magic! 😎
Have you cruised on any other lines in the past?

I wonder why when they make changes to prices etc they don't update the website? It still says pizza is 24 hours and has the old prices for Seafood Shack.
