  1. non issue for us. even if we wanted to go, his job means he is not permitted to enter the country.

if you are worried about lousy governments and human rights, then I suggest you stay out of Jamaica and Haiti as well. neglect and corruption is just as bad as torture and ..."

I don't take cruises that include Haiti and Jamaica. I don't get off of the ship in Aruba.

You are my Hero!!!:) If they gave me a free cruise I would not give that government one single dime which supports the oppressive government.

  2. El Castillo at Chichen Itza which I was able to climb many years ago was closed as a direct result of a woman from California falling to her death in 2006.

Other sites have been closed to climbing to protect the sites from damage by the climbers.

............pretty tough to sue the Mayans I guess. As the folklore goes a large number made the trek up but fewer made the trek back down the temple stairs......

  3. if you haven't already, research the Chacchoben ruins from your Costa Maya stop. The ruins may not be as spectacular as some of the ones you mention, but the tour was impressive, informative and might not take as long to get to, and back ... I did the Chacchoben tour using The Native Choice tours and it was very well done ... reasonably priced as well

we did this tour also and our guide was so good....a real historian and spoke perfect English. Really gave a great insight into the Mayan culture and history. Loved it.

  4. I always bring a foldable two tiered tea cart with me when I cruise. I can fill the cart up with any and all the different items at the Windjammer then push the overfilled cart back to my cabin. I have sort of a "hoarder" mentality. That is one problem I noticed that they NEVER have enough food on a cruise. Oh the humanity......;)

  5. Thank you USATEG for your opinion. My family will no longer sail any cruise line that goes to Cuba. People think they are helping the Cuban economy but the they are only helping fund the governments pockets. The people get nothing from your visit. Only your smiling faces. So sad to say goodbye to RCCL. We've sailed you since 1993.

I agree 1000%.......even though I am diamond I won't give that killer regime a penny....RCL should really reconsider IMO.

  6. Only if the cow pies were pure chocolate!!:p Would also need some sort of "pooper scooper" and a way to get them into the Sweet right through the Promenade window!! Now, that's a cabin worth having!!;) Of course, watching the cow pies being deposited may be somewhat disturbing (in the end)!! hahahahahaha!

:D,,,,,,maybe a little trap door with a long pole with a basket you could catch the pure chocolate cow pies when they "drop"........a load "MOOOOO" would signal a coming event.......now THAT would be an exciting addition to the room....

  7. That is so sad. I just got off the Oasis yesterday and we had a call for O negative blood. The next day when we were at port, we were met by an ambulance so hopefully/prayerfully the person is okay. We had another incident of Alpha, alpha, alpha to a stateroom but I don't know the outcome of that. We were on our way back with two sea says ahead of us. It is a terrible thing for the family, but when it's my time to go... I hope I am having the time of my life on my best cruise yet. Prayers for all involved.

........take a look around at your fellow passengers.......for someone to "expire" would not be considered unusual ( if you get my "drift?).....

  8. Our Thanksgiving cruise is from Nov 21 to Dec 02.

Sounds like we will be waking up to Christmas surprises!

Does the Serenade have the day changes in the elevators?

..............I'm sure there have been one or two perverts who have changed during the day in an elevator..........

  9. A hundred one's will do nicely! We bring some back too at times. It depends too, but for us, I give a 2-3 out when service is prompt, as I wanted and with a smile. That is me. It will depend on you!

For me it is an inexpensive way to reward immediately great customer service.

..............and the extras "ones" can be used in those famous strip clubs in Atlanta upon your return.....Let it rain, baby...........
