  1. Same for our 7/13 trip. I was most looking forward to Key West. But still looking forward to being on a cruise.
  2. We are going on this cruise in July. Please come back and tell us how you liked it! For Key West we are thinking the hop on hop off trolley is how we'll spend our day.
  3. Will be in Arkansas with fingers crossed for good weather. My officemate raved about the totality in Georgia in 2017 so off we go!
  4. I had no idea about cats at The Hermitage. Will have to look that up. Thanks!
  5. We had a group of 5 that paid for the class online and made sure to go to the first demonstration on embarkation day and were able to get all 5 of us signed up back to back. This was on the Solstice last summer in Alaska. I would love to do this again.
  6. Sidecars are a big family favorite for us! My in laws enjoyed them very much and passed them on to us. I enjoy having them on cruises. We are looking forward to a week on the Jade in July with some friends going to Key West, Jamaica and Grand Cayman. Our previous NCL experience was 14 night Scandinavian on the Norwegian Dream in 2000. Glad we got to see St.Petersburg.
  7. Yes! 5 of us in our group did this and were able to get back to back appointments and had such a great time!
  8. Glad to hear this! We're going on the Jade in July.
  9. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your trip and so many great photos with us. Our Beyond trip next February will be our first on an E class ship so this was a great introduction.
  10. Our Transatlantic cruise on the Constellation stopped there in 2015. We loved it. Very walkable and we caught part of a jazz festival that was going on. One of my favorite cruise days!
  11. Thanks for taking us along! We'll be on Beyond next February with our daughter and son in law for the ABC Islands, Cartagena and partial Panama Canal. Can't wait!
  12. Thanks so much for sharing so many photos and letting us know how your trip was. We'll be on this ship in July out of Port Canaveral.
  13. Thank you! I was so happy to find this thread shortly after booking the Jade for a cruise out of Port Canaveral in July with some friends. Can't wait!
  14. I'm always surprised when someone doesn't know the name of the ship they're on or will be on. Reading reviews and everything else about the ship is what keeps me going while counting down to cruise day!
  15. 7 or 8 days from the Canary Islands to Ft. Lauderdale and it was heaven.
  16. We had the best time on our Solstice Alaska cruise in late August! Hope you do too!
  17. We had a fabulous bar waiter in the dining room on the Solstice last week. Dharmesh always seemed to show up just when we were ready for another drink on our classic package!
  18. We spent 2 nights at The Mediterranean Inn in the Queen Anne area two weeks ago and loved it. Front desk is very helpful.
  19. We were on the Solstice last week and the dining room entrees were hit or miss. Pasta was generally gummy and my husband found the steak to be chewy and overcooked. He sent it back the second time this happened and there were many apologies and a visit from the suit who checks in on your table here and there. That being said, we had a great time and enjoyed our cruise very much. The best part about the Solstice is the crew!
  20. I understand the cruise lines going digital but this used to be a fun activity while looking for our photos! We usually skip the photographers but our recent cruise was the first with our (adult) kids since 2010 so I was happy to spring for a formal night photo.

    ArriveCan

Yes, we were on the Solstice 9/1 return to Seattle and by the time we landed home in Orlando my husband (and many others on our plane) was coughing almost nonstop. He's got covid and so far tests are showing I don't. Not what I had on my post cruise bingo card for sure! (we got booster shots a month before we went) Also adding my thanks to @Ferry_Watcher for so many great suggestions re: Seattle. We went 2 days before the cruise and saw a lot and totally enjoyed ourselves. I wondered if I walked by you at the terminal. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. It was the quickest cruise arrival experience we've ever had! Thanks!
  23. Yes! I cleaned hotel rooms at the Jersey shore during the summers (45 years ago) when I was in college and I tip the housekeepers to this day. We didn't get tips often but when we did it really made our days!
