  1. There's definitely some issues with the Princess website pricing. This is what I see for October 2024 cruises on the Sun. The $0 for the first one is correct (casino comp) but the next two cruises are wacky. When I click in the suite price is nowhere need that high. Wonder if they are tinkering around before the July 1 pricing changes. Wish they would stop!!
  2. I used to book with EZAir all the time, especially for international flights which often cost significantly less with EZAir than booking direct. However, after the restart of cruising I ran into many issues such as tickets not being booked, EZAir not keeping up with changes in airline schedules, etc., so I have booked elsewhere since then. I think some of this has been resolved but it still doesn't seem to be as flexible as it used to be. Here's a recent very active thread on one recent unannounced change that is causing angst for many:
  3. Nope! Price actually went up on a couple of the excursions that I was watching after they announced this "sale". Some discussion about this happening here:
  4. If they aren't refundable you may want to get online and order your tickets the morning you arrive in Belfast when it's clear that you will actually be docking. That way you can confidently pick a time for your tour of the museum.
  5. Per the FAQs shown under the link you sent - and yes, another example of inconsistent / contradictory language shown for the same offer:
  6. I wonder if Port Everglades charges the same as Miami? And I can see why Princess is putting a ship in Port Canaveral. It's a bargain!
  7. We were in Belfast on a Friday and booked when we got arrived at Titanic Belfast. We had no idea they had timed entry and limited tickets available each day. We were able to talk them into giving us tickets an hour and 15 minutes from the time we arrived so we were lucky. It's definitely one of those places where if you really want to go, buy the tickets as soon as you can.
  8. Yes you can certainly do that. If you're using points it makes no difference. If you are paying and flying internationally, most airlines charge more for two one ways than what the round trip fare would be for the same flights. So if you're paying the airline one way and EZAir for the other ticket you will pay more in total. If you're flying domestic, usually two one ways would cost the same as a round trip for most domestic airlines.
  9. Not the nicest walk but from recollection the Titanic Belfast is 2 miles give or take from where the ship docks. We paid to take the Princess shuttle to the town center last year then walked about the same distance to Titanic Belfast and then back to the bus stop. While it was nice to see what was in the town center if that's all that you want to do and you're a good walker then it's easy enough to do.
  10. The thing is this sort of ambiguity is pretty typical for Princess. This isn't the first time that there has been contradictory language or mistakes made (see my post several pages back re: Platinum qualification) when rolling out a new promo. Princess still needs to learn that if you take the time to get it right the first time you save yourselves a lot of time in the long run.
  11. I received receipt and shipping notification yesterday for our cruise in 3 weeks. Oddly there was no tracking link on the email nor was there a tracking number. I checked the last receipt that I received for our April cruise and the tracking info was there. Of course for that one the receipt arrived AFTER we got the Medallions. It's been a mess that's for sure!
  12. I just did a test on an Alaska cruise tour. EZAir uses the dates of the cruise tour not just the cruise to set the 5 day window before or after. So it's not just the cruise dates that matter in this situation. This change is one more reason for us to avoid booking through EZAir. We are much happier booking direct and at least having flexibility and control over our flights.
  13. Exactly. They may have 100 or more slots available but it will show 20 until the number available dips below 20. They will sometimes secure extra space too. I had been watching a sold out excursion to the beaches of Normandy last year. After a lot of searching I found an independent tour to go there. Probably a month after that I checked and saw that Princess had "20" spots available for their similar tour. They can't always get extra space but if something is very popular you can bet they will do what they can to secure more slots.
  14. The Plus Beverage Package alone is always that price. The Plus package which includes the Plus Beverage Package, crew appreciation and WiFi is $60. Princess really should rename this stuff as it's very confusing.
  15. We were on the last Love Boat cruise in October 2022 and it was a lot of fun. But now that we've done it once we're good!
  16. Years ago I had heard that cruise lines make at least half of their profit on onboard spending which is why they frantically used to send out those last minute emails to fill cabins for a steal for a ship that wouldn't otherwise sail full. The shift in numbers downward doesn't surprise me as they are getting more $$ upfront on the packages. It appears that they are trying to boost this even more with the current promo. If it succeeds this very well could be added as a permanent feature of the packages.
  17. Funny but I got an email about excursions being buy 1 get one 50% off for our Alaska cruise next month. And when I went to look at excursions in the Personalizer the disclaimer said that the individual pricing would be shown at up to 25% off to account for the promo. There were a couple of excursions I had been watching and to my surprise they were all shown at $5 more than they cost yesterday despite being labeled as being reduced for the sale. Didn't book anything LOL.
  18. That's kind of been gone for a while. Either you're Blue or Green lane. They do still have the separate seating areas by CC status if they haven't started boarding yet and they do prioritize those groups when boarding starts. But if they are already boarding it makes no difference if you're a red or black card.
  19. Looks like this will be the topic of Carmen Roig's next webinar on the 27th. And it also appears that anyone can watch this one.
  20. Princess stopped giving double credits for full suite upgrades even before the Covid shutdown. It used to be that if you got one of the old offers to upgrade and accepted it you would get the double cruise credits. Then they stopped doing it automatically but would add the second credit if you reached out to Captain's Circle. Then they stopped allowing it entirely and this practice was continued with the new bidding for upgrades program. The only way to get the double credit is to book a suite outright.
  21. It sure sounds like it but it depends on what Princess means by the word "between" in the text below. To be eligible, guest must book on, or upgrade to, Princess Plus or Princess Premier package no later than 2 days prior to embarkation on a Princess Cruise departing between 8/1/2024 and 12/1/2024.
  22. Fairly certain that the embarkation date would have to be on or after August 1 based on the language below but that's just my interpretation. To be eligible, guest must book on, or upgrade to, Princess Plus or Princess Premier package no later than 2 days prior to embarkation on a Princess Cruise departing between 8/1/2024 and 12/1/2024.
  23. Oceania actually assesses the insurance premium on the total amount including port fees and taxes. What they wanted to charge us was 13.5% of the total which drove us to finally get an annual policy. Our TA separated out the port fees / taxes on their invoice so it was pretty easy to confirm this. I'm hoping Princess keeps it out of the calculation, it's not hard to do.
  24. Hmmmm interesting question. Will have to see how that one plays out.
  25. Well it wouldn't be the first time that Princess moved the goalpost after promoting something. In this case they may entice a lot of people to buy the package to earn certain benefits and those folks will be really ticked if they take them away by changing the CC criteria. I sure hope Princess realizes this.
