Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Correction station is Tilbury Town NOT Grays.
  2. As someone who lives in Essex where Tilbury is located, stay in a hotel around Tower bridge lots to choose from and only short walk to Fenchurch street station. I worked in the area for years so know it very well. From there take the train to Grays then a v short taxi to the port.
  3. We're taking our kids and grandchildren on the RCI Antham in May. It will be their first time on a cruise ship and we think this will give them a taste for cruising, but as far as land hoidays go Centre parcs is great but V expensive as you have to pay extra for lots of things, but we tried Potters near Gt Yarmouth and the family loved it. Fully inclusive, activities all day good food and includes all your drinks; about the same cost as Centre parcs but everything is included. Only problem is its a bit of an old fashioned holiday camp, but its clean, well kept ad the staff are great with the grand kids..
  4. Thank you for the information. Very useful.
  5. Thank you for taking the trouble to provide all this information it is very useful and a bit surprised that no one has questioned this previously, particulary there no information on the RCI web site about enrollment.
  6. Hi I'm looking for booking / enrollment information about Childrens clubs on board Antham of the seas as we're taking our grandkids during the May 2024 half term. Ive found the age ranges. Aquanauts (ages 3-5 years), Explorers (ages 6-8 years) & Voyagers (ages 9-12 years), but how are these booked and can these be done in advance, so how? Thanks
  7. Not going to book with Disney as not prepaired to pay in full and then find the extra activites are fully bokked.
  8. Called Disney direct and established that these extra activities can only be booked after full payment is made and as I'm new the DCL we would get access to book these 75 days in advance where as folks with loyality points would be allowed to book further out. So I pointed out that theyri web site says these are very popular; what if the activity is fully booked up by the time Im allowed to book. Well that does it for me. Ill book with another cruise line:-(
  9. HI first time crusier with Disney, but bee with Celebrity & Princess many times. Im considering booking for 10 people (6 adults & 4 grandchildren). Its an expensive cruise and I need to establish if theres an booking issue for Royal Tea, Princess Gathering & Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique ! 1. My understanding is that these can only be booked following full payment and X number of days in advance. Am I correct? 2. If so do regular DCL cruisers with loyality points get first offerings? Rememeber this is our first Disney cruise, so zero loyality points. 3.If we miss out on these reservations; Disney say they booked very quickly, is that it? No recorse to Disney, because if thats the case then Im not going through all that hassel for a cruise that 3 times the cost of others. I like to get what I pay for not a bunch of excuses!!
  10. Ive been looking to take the family (6 adults & 4 children) away on a cruise for a while and seriously considered a 4 day Disney cruise from Southampton in the summer of '24, but after reading the reviews I'm seriously put off. I could spend the same amount for a 10 day Celebrity cruise. What family activities are there on board?, We dont want to stick the kids in a kids club all day long, we want to do things togather. It would be good to hear what other UK Disney cruisers say.
  11. What - nobodys mentioned the kitchen sink!!!!🤣
  12. Sailing on 3rd June cant wait for Pie & Mash but never eaten it dressed in formal attire.😀 Should I wear jeans with DJ & bow tie, im sure it would raise the odd eyebrow😀
