  1. looking at cruise from sydney next year, driving up north from tassie and looking at a cruise on our way back any advise on parking or even parking away from sydney and catching train, thanks martin
  2. its not just the cost of a cruise its all the associated expenses that go with it, flights and accommodation beforehand or if driving cost of petrol and parking, and living in tasmania an el cheapo flight to sydney or brisbane from launceston can add $500 to $1,000 to the cost plus accommodation, devonport is worse as you've only got qantas, I've cancelled 2 cruises recently that would have cost me around 24k but decided to buy a car instead.
  3. same in akaroa before lyttleton reopened, it was more locals as opposed to the hospitality sector who loved the business, never being to alaska but don't some of them ports have 3 and 4 ships at any one time.
  4. i think the other question is what are carnivals cocktails like compared to p&o, i haven't been on carnival but p&o's cocktails are disgusting with hardly any alcohol in them.
  5. My bookings next year on discovery can only book Juneau restaurant the other 2 says not available to book. 5.00 or 7.30 only options.
  6. sure you can book speciality restaurants, they want your money upfront.
  7. well the mocktails certainly don't look like that, and for $109 a day and you still have to buy your own coffee, err no thanks princess plus is a bargain.
  8. ok update, booked the crown grill & rudi's on discovery jan 2026 and yes got it for $39 aus each, might look at the 360 dining at $149, on discovery oct 2025 tokyo to singapore yes its in us$, 360 dining comes out at $460 aus with the exchange rate as opposed to $298 aus big difference. thanks for the info arxcards
  9. on the 28 day round Australia march 25, in my personaliser is $39 for crown and $35 for sabatinis is this $US?? as i thought it went up to $53 and $49 $aus respectively.39$us x2 is converted at $124 $aus as opposed to $106. same on discovery princess to nz jan 2026 its displaying $39 and $35 but doesn't say if its $us or aus, is this another way to get more $ out of everyone.
  10. hi all, am looking at adding the 15day cruise on discovery princess seattle to tokyo to my tokyo to singapore cruise next year, if wanting to visit vancouver what's the best way regarding visas for nz passport holder, have previously got an esta for the usa but how would it work going in and out of usa, thanks all

  12. put a hold on the 18 day singapore to sydney, then decided we'll fly to japan for 1 week do the 14 night japan to singapore on discovery then 3 nights in singapore then fly home, looked a far better itinerary.
