hope Mom's surgery goes well. In August, .I sure felt all the poking/ pressing in right eye, but went back anyhow for the left..much better anesthesia and felt nothing . Both healed up ok. I now need reading glasses as expected and got progressives so I could see distances and read..just like always..but not perfect. Threading a needle and other tasks a bit more difficult..but I def needed the surgery!.. Not the miracle some cheer about but done! -

Any large group on board a ship usually has an impact on other guests but the extent.varies. Some groups are more active and visible than others, and overtake public spaces..Others are hardly noticed. Luck of the draw! -
YAY..we Just checked in for our Jan 2025 APEX cruise..got the 11;30 to noon slot..Have not looked very much at our folder for APEX..focused more on Silhouette for next week. We likely would not be interested in stopping at Coco Cay. We.loved it in its more pristine condition .Now it seems like just another cruise line beach club..

"No sugar added" does not necessarily mean low carb.. I skip dessert most nights or go with jello, fruit or just a small taste of sorbet.. Desserts on X not really a big treat anyhow!
-
For us it's not about the benefits per se but crowding at what used to be more pleasant events..Hopefully Royal changes won't have a big impact on X. ... anymore than they have already.
-
this would not be okay for us..perhaps you can chat or leave a note to have p.m. service completed by 7 pm..before you retire for the night. You are paying for service plus daily grat..
-
aside from all the pickiness, I believe it is of concern to X cruisers.. , This change on Royal C might drive even more customers to "crossover" to X , which has already resulted n overcrowding at some events, thus diluting benefits

Cruise line economics of switching Falmouth for Labadee
hcat replied to SEC Man's topic in Celebrity Cruises
good points made. but mostly a shops and eating port area.. I believe one place with a pool closed down?? no nature unless one ventures out.. -
I posted on this Celeb thread which is the only one I closely follow. Read abt it in a newspaper online. Nice to know this info...as we browse for 2026 bookings on X. We might have gotten snagged but have alreadtly found a few "non Mexico" possibles from Tampa..*Knowlege not hysteria!) If thread is moved, that's fine..but moved threads are not aways noticed by all.

Cruise line economics of switching Falmouth for Labadee

Falmouth and Labadee are very diff ports but probably best to skip Haiti right now We once took a poorly organized excursion in Falmouth but now just stay in the port area.. shop & lunch. Time off the ship! -

very nice pics..Sorry your tour was a bust. We have never had a bad day in KW.. even when we inadvertently were there for Fantasy/Fun Fest..quite edgy! We have done the Conch tram, taken varous ship tours on land any sea, walked around on our own and sometimes just had lunch. Always had great guides and met nice folks.. altho' all do not welcome cruisers! In a few weeks we'll be thrre on Silhouette. We'll take a Glass Bottom Boat Tour. & then grab drinks/ dessert..

We lucked out on ASCENT.. perfect weather, nice breeze, great sunset..nice table, excellent food and service.. Only one loud large group at a table nearby! But to us this is a casual outdoor restaurant..not a traditional Specialty Restaurant. Had a small glitch upon arrival..An after hrs pickle ball match including an activity staff member was still in progress...plink plink plink. They kindly stopped!

But would Celeb care abt that or just want more $.. ? From past yr's experience, their tech efforts are not top quality with the exception of the tech workers on board who are very helpful.

We are not in any special cruiser category....just E + like many folks, but I have been lucky to get at least 1 of my wishes granted. per cruise. On Ascent it was a lovely " big birthday" floral arrangement. .On APEX I will go for the Art Book.. As the ships age, these can become rare! -
Hope she pulls through.. are you giving her insulin.. just having you by her side may ease any discomfort. Looks content! At this point we are without any kitties.. but our last one was a very happy " snowbird" Loved the lanai!

See if you can get the APEX art book out of them as a consolation gift... if its not in your stateroom. I have the Collection so far, and enjoy looking back every so often! -
