We did not enjoy LumInae menu/ food, or the the Retreat indoor Lounge on BEYOND. Outdoor pool and sun area was very nice, with limited lunch...but crowded except on port days! Suite perks of greatest value were early embark and disembark..Butler was ok but not needed We ended up back at BLU & Specialty dining in lieu of Luminae!

would be great on Carib itins to hear the island vibe..and always Jimmy Buffet..on W Carib some Mex Carib also fun!

topic is straying a bit.. Do any other cruise lines close off major venues for pvt events for long periods? Large groups csn be annoying but losing space adds to it..

Background music in public areas, esp dining, should be pleasant, subtle and not an endless loop of jarring sounds. Yeas ago they had the worst loop that played over and over..everywhere including hallways on Ascent last January it was loud and annoying all over the ship including EDEN. We are asking Santa for headphones this yr.. mostly to block noise and get music from our Android phones. Any suggestions for non techies will be helpful. (The suggested ear plugs have worked great!)

Good luck..4 adults...tight in a standard size cabin! X is really packing them in . often leads to overcrowded conditions ship wide : bars, eateries, pools gym, excursion.. Hope our 4 nights in Silho will be an offf week before Xmas without crowds

Is this only for Luminae. We usually dine in BLU or 4 mdrs ( E Class) and do not do reviews or surveys anymore, so do our servers get nothing? Tired of the begging for good ratings!

on E Class, PW has a nice out of the way corridor where one can browse and look at art interactively.. not sure what they do for auctions but did not affect us. Kind of odd, if true, that X CEO used to work for PW. Coincidence that they have these high spender cruisers ?,?

We have KW as a port on our 4 day Silho cruise in Dec 2024 Already booked an X excursion and Specialty dinner to katch port times. Would be sad to.miss this port as .we know it is slowly being phased out. Costa Maya & Cozumel make it a W Carib cruise..hope OP can cancel or switch if desired!

we had the same reaction..above pur budget! Read an article today that Oceania will sail from Tampa..with some longer itins..Most of the ports are ones we've been to. Wishing for smaller ports & new itins. Still it will be another option from Tampa

Since the advent of pooled tips, we do not tip as much extra cash as we used to.. We give a group extra tip to maitre d in BLU or Luminae.. and it depends on MdR on E Class if we stick with one venue..or set of servers Drink servers get extra per drink and sommeliet at end..I do not think they must share. Room attendent gets small extra tips ongping l,and at the end..it depends on level of svc..

looks like a nice pool as I recall they were but no plans to go back to M Class right now... waiting for a Connie update We are trying Silhouette again. after many yrs. We were on her in her 1st season. We just need a break from E Class for awhile. Ascent was great but a bit too much party!
