Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks c-legs5 - good info. I will follow up with the park. still on the fence whether we need a cabana as it sounds like they have plenty of palapas for shade? The day we are in port, there will be 6 ships and we are there from 8am to 6pm. We would not spend entire day. Main purpose for visit will be the snorkel and/or shore scuba dive. if anyone has pictures of the cabanas and the palapas, it would be greatly appreciated to see them here vs Chank’s website. again thanks to all in advance.
  2. DH and I are experienced scuba divers and would normally do a 2 tank dive at this cruise stop. However, it’s been a few years since we have done this due to various life events. We are consider Chank on our stop in November and have a few questions for those that have been here. I understand from their website that they offer scuba/diving at $45 with a cert card (which we have). And I am assuming that would be a shore dive. I figure this could be a good re-intro for us both. Has anyone done this thru one of their dive shops? I am also considering booking a cabana (only 2 of us) as husband and I prefer shade when not out in water. DH has had multiple skin scares so we try to minimize with rash guards and sunscreen. Again, shade is the reason #1 reason for wanting this option. thanks in advance for all experiences, suggestions.
  3. We are Elite sailing on Solstice class (Eclipse) in May to Bermuda. Is the CC HH menu from 5-7pm offered at the Sunset Bar and Martini Bar? Thanks in advance to all for the great info!
  4. Thanks. Yes, I work in the travel industry and have no issues with checking in electronically. i hate to keep harping but it does seem a bit excessive to require paperwork to be printed out in these times. I have my vac card, passport and such. And with other items that were required during Covid such as QR codes to enter a country, all was done electronic. And with the airlines, all e-tickets, no need for paper anymore which is good. Assuming their IT is not yet able to handle. Surprises me for an European based company not to be more eco friendly.
  5. Good to know and thanks as well for sharing your experience. We are going to try to print it out when we are at our hotel in Barcelona.
  6. Thanks SirWolf. Just seems a bit ridiculous these days to need the “paper”. Hoping we can print at our hotel. But seriously, I am sure there are some who arrive without and I would think the MSC check in staff could print and then I can sign.
  7. Well that stinks for some of us already in Europe traveling and without a printer.
  8. Do we actually need to print out tickets for our cruise or can we show the Eticket PDF we received on our smart phones? Thanks to all for your advice.
