  1. Love the orange jersey! Bringing back lovely memories of the Keukenhof! Glad the weather cooperated.
  2. Hi Jim. On the app when purchasing train tickets under the Joint Journey option what is the full phrase underneath? Wondering what it says between ‘se and on ticket holder’ This might be an option for our group of four 🤔 Also, wow, can really see the family resemblance between Iain and his sister…seems they have the same sense of humour too! Enjoy your reunion and the rest of your time in Amsterdam!
  3. Is the Chihuly exhibit still at the base of the Space Needle…we really enjoyed exploring there a few years back. Incredible talent.
  4. What ports will you be visiting other than Victoria? Hope you enjoy smooth seas and clear days! Cheers🥂
  5. Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday together. Must say I’m a bit anxious already for your dining…after the delicious meals you had on Cunard, and as much as I enjoy the food on Celebrity, I’m hoping it can compete with or even surpass your expectations 😱 Maybe the cocktails will help 🤞😋 😂 Cheers! 🥂🚢 🍸
  6. We love both Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles so Celebrity Central at 9 is where’d you’d find us! Hope you find something fun to do and enjoy the next leg of your holiday. 🥂
  7. Are you snorkeling with Woodwind in Bonaire? We had such a great time with them and I’m sure you will too if that’s who you’re with. Enjoying your review. Thank you!
  8. Thanks for posting as you travel. Are you staying on for the Alaska leg? What is your itinerary for this leg? Enjoy!
  9. Thank you for your wonderful postings, great pictures. We’ve done Alaska twice but both times were in September and I think next time we’ll try an early cruise as you’re doing. I love seeing the snow on the mountain peaks. We’ve visited Juneau twice and neither time the weather was conducive to our trying the Mt Robert’s tramway due to fog or low clouds. The weather in September was great otherwise, very little rain, warm temps, no bugs and lots of wildlife. Hope you continue to enjoy your voyage and I will enjoy cruising virtually with you!
  10. Thanks for the link, Jim, unfortunately he wants a five night min stay. Looks lovely tho! I’m sure you’ll enjoy that terrace as well!
  11. Your Airbnb looks fabulous and I love how welcoming and helpful the host has been so far. We are in need of accommodation next May with two bedrooms…can you share your location? Can wait until you leave if you’d rather! Very interested in where you tour and dine while you’re in the Netherlands! Thanks for continuing to post. I’m going to start paying more attention to doorways when I travel, thanks to all your beautiful pictures. Try the homemade stroopwafels from a vendor and enjoy some delicious pancakes, they make them both sweet and savoury 😋
  12. If Eddy Jenkins stays on for the next leg then the entertainment will likely be just as good as you’ve had so far! Really enjoying your reports and all the photos! 🥂🚢
  13. You might try the Spa Cafe for avocados. Pretty sure we had some sliced on a few dishes so they def have some. Can’t see why they wouldn’t give you a whole one if you asked.
  14. Hope you have a wonderful cruise. What day do you board and what are your ports? Have you booked excursions or have plans for the individual ports?
  15. You don’t need to test to visit Canada so unless it’s needed in Hawaii I’d say it’s posted in error. If it makes you feel better you could perform the antigen test on your own and have that with you just in case. 🤷‍♀️
  16. If the winds and waves are projected to be getting worse someone needs to warn the surfer (under the battery level) in your waves pic!! 😱 🫣🤣 Keep up the great work Jim!
  17. You absolutely can…I’ve requested veggies that were on a different dish, extra veg instead of the potato, a different side than what’s in the description, extra dressing on my Caesar salad etc. If it’s not something they can do they’ll let you know but I’ve never had them say that, they really do want you to be happy!
  18. I love the exceptional entertainment that Eddy Jenkins lines up but I’d have had a hard time deciding what to do at 10pm last night…both the comedian in the Theatre and the Headline the Band in Sky sounded great. Hopefully one of them repeats later in the voyage. What did you do? Nice to have so many great choices.
  19. Jim, first off I’m glad you’re enjoying your holiday and I hope that the weather and sea conditions and onboard experience continue to add to your travel enjoyment. Now to the Luke story…like others, it just about brought me to tears. DH and I are also dog lovers and I can’t imagine how that officer got accepted to the canine program with an attitude like that, just unthinkable. My DH was a K9 officer for most of his career, although German Shepherds are the most commonly used breeds around here. Although our dogs had outdoor houses and runs they had plenty of playtime when not working and enjoyed their “home” to catch some much needed rest after a shift. Their coats were so thick in the winter that indoor time just made them hot and they’d stand at the door to be let back out lol. The dogs (he trained and worked three separate dogs through his career) loved going to work and were similar to pets when at home. Never chained up, fortunately we had a large fenced backyard. As each got closer to retirement they became pets and lived in the house, relaxing on the couch and enjoying their chew toys. They were all well loved and well cared for. I’m disgusted with the original owner of Luke and am very grateful that you were able to give him the life that he so deserved. Fortunately Luke’s treatment by the callous officer is not typical and most police K9s are treated by their handlers as partners with respect, admiration and love. Thank you for taking Luke in and loving him!
  20. May I ask what category Suite you have? That balcony looks a good size! Hope you enjoy a wonderful crossing and adventure in Europe!
  21. Although they are sister ships and share many similarities, Reflection has quite a few more cabins for the same capacity of the amenities including pool space and restaurants so there may tend to be more issues with lines for dining in Reflection and lounger availability as opposed to Silhouette. Suppose if the Reflection isn’t at capacity these issues won’t be noticeable tho. We personally love the Silhouette and just wish it had an M class T-pool 🤔
  22. If you’re just looking for juice and a smoothie you might have better luck at the Spa Cafe…lovely light breakfasts and lunches.
  23. In Feb on Silhouette they had Seagrams, Crown Royal and CC…hubby prefers Jamieson and they had plenty of that as well.
