I would NOT accept a different reservation time either, particularly since I booked it months in advance when the time I wanted was available. If they only had late dinning times, I would have never made the reservation in the first place. Bumping me to a different time to accommodate a "more important customer", who obviously failed to make a reservation online, would make me believe they didnt value my business and I would cancel every reservation in all Specialty restaurants. So, I completely understand your reaction, but I wonder why they assumed they can just move your reserved time without even asking/notifying you about it until you inquired. What if you had simply arrived at your reserved time, and they had given your table away? That would have been an even 'louder" conversation.

I booked us for Eden, Fine Cut, Rooftop Garden Grille, and Raw on 5, without any package, but got the days and times we wanted. I dont want to have to beg and plead to get to a decent reservation time.

Thanks for that info. My DD 22 and DS 19 will be with us on or Edge cruise over Christmas and New Years. There are several sea days so they would lose their minds if their connectivity were compromised in any way!! Ok Zoomers!! So, I just upgraded to Premium Internet for all 4 of us! That is 1 more thing that I dont have to worry about!

Do those serving in the MDR make more than the servers in the buffet? The MDR server position seems to be more coveted than the room attendant or buffet server jobs.

Ouch!! That's not good! But I like your attitude in the face of that challenge. I typically wouldnt report on the poor service to the manager either. Sometimes those things happen. Its not worth getting your panties in a bunch over, imo. How did the waiter know when he apologized the next day, that you werent served your entree the night before?

I wish I knew if they were going to reduce the Move Up prices. I am just going to continue to check it up until the day of the cruise. As is, we are going to stay put in our SV!!

I am not going to even address the 5 years of pubic hair jammed into the shower drain that were brushing against your bare feet as the water backed up, for fear I will lose my lunch. But, that stain on the ceiling is absolutely disgusting...I wonder if its some food, or mold, or bacteria, or blood, or maybe somebody's projectile vomit from 3 years ago. It cannot be healthy to be breathing in the particulate from that toxic waste dump all night long, particularly if you have any sort of respiratory issues. Candidly, I would rather enjoy a "suite" at Chernobyl for the week. And the coffee table is just unacceptable on any level. I am immediately dragging it out to the hallway and calling the room steward and have them take right to the local dump. Sorry, the filth we cannot see is disturbing enough, but we just hope we have some herd immunity, try to put it out of our minds, and move forward. But this funk living in plain site, is beyond the pale! Dude, just no!! Get them to bring you a hazmat suite and ventilator until that dumpster fire is fumigated, de-loused, and scrubbed from stem to stern.

I just checked and after final payment was due, it seems like there are a lot vacant suites of various types on this cruise. That surprised me as this is a Christmas/New Years Day cruise which are typically packed to the gills, and not planned last minute. Question, what is the difference between our Sunset Veranda, an Aqua SS, and a SS? Based on the pictures, they dont look much different and/or much larger than the Sunset Veranda. Does it make any sense at all to bid that much based on the value you get?? What exactly do you get with either of those upgrades? Also, we could do a Celebrity Suite but these Move Up prices seem higher than a cats back. What is the chance the minimum bid amount decreases significantly over the next 60 days? You just have to start drinking heavily before leaving the ship and keep drinking longer upon your return, or you are cheating yourself!!

DW(60), DD(22), DS(19), and I(60) are cruising December 21st on Celebrity Edge. Due primarily to the proximity to the cruise terminal, we are staying 2 nights at Rydges prior to the cruise. We also have 3 nights in Sydney post cruise. So, I am trying to decide where to book for those nights. Probably around that same area.

We are cruising December 21st out of Sydney on Edge. Any idea when Celebrity typically has these "flash sales"? Do you need to just keep checking the website everyday or so until we cruise? Thanks!
