A sad day indeed. I was 8 when Her Majesty was crowned. It's a bit of a fuzzy memory; I feel like I saw it on TV but we did not have one until I was 10 so it isn't a perfect memory. There's an old tag line :"I saw it on the Radio" and that may be what happened although I had one neighbor who had a TV so I may have seen part of it there. Roy

You learn something every day. In my many years in the Fire Department I was always taught "there are no stupid questions, only stupid mistakes". The question made sense from someone who had been truly out of the loop for the last years and not known what the Volendam was doing. For someone who KNEW the Volendam was housing refugees and not sailed in 2 years and asking for an opinion on the ship from recent passengers has finally convinced me there IS such a thing as a stupid question. Roy

Check the lot number on the test. Most of the expiration dates on the boxes are based on what is known about the test stability when produced and as data emerges the expiration date is extended, I think mostly now by 6 months. Roy

I'll bet those on her have found her absolutely delightful, even if they are a bit homesick. Roy

Port Canaveral was my first ever departure port for a conventional cruise ship (Carnival Fantasy, 1993). My favorite thing to do there has been to visit Kennedy Space Center although my last time there I visited my brother's grave. That is a challenge. In 2018 I did something somewhat similar but it was Alaska and the Panama Canal. I ended up shipping one bag with Luggage Forward to meet the Westerdam before boarding in Seward and back from New York at the end of the Panama Canal cruise. It was a big help. Roy
