  7. Rabbit Rabbit, White Rabbit. Thank you Rich for the first Fleet Report/Daily for September. Ginger Cats will be much beloved here. I'll pass on the Tofu but love Cherry Popovers but rarely eat them. Love the Dessen quote. Been to Boca twice on the Elegant Explorer. I think I'll pass on the meal. 8. I've done that several times and will again when I do a repo on Vision of the Seas from Fort Lauderdale to Baltimore. I wish Amtrak could get their new Miami station by the airport open as it's nice to board the train leisurely right at the beginning. There's a nice hotel right across the street but they can't open it because there is a crossing right where they would be staging the train. Roy
  9. This is NOT from @StLouisCruisers; It's from @0106. It's a quirk of Cruise Critic that when you highlight text inside a quote and then click "Quote this Selection" that it is attributed to person doing the quote, not from the person who created the text. Roy
  10. While I love trains I avoided the auto train for many years. I always felt the worst part of the drive to Florida was the section around Washington, and there was a second route to the east of Washington that connected with I95 near Richmond. I think I95 in general has gotten worse, and that secondary route has gotten a lot worse, changing my calculation. I used the Auto Train for the first time at Christmas of 2019. Roy
  11. It's a train that runs from just South of Washington DC (Lorton VA) to Sanford Florida. The front third is a regular Amtrak train with sleeping cars and s string of car carriers at the back. You must check in around noon, they put a number in your dashboard and on your boarding pass. I think the train leaves about 3 and arrives about 9 the next morning. There's a huge waiting room in each terminal where you wait until your car number is called on a big digital board, https://www.amtrak.com/auto-train-experience Roy
  12. I haven't flown since my return from Australia in 2020 and have no desire to do so again. I am using the auto train for my November Eurodam cruise and hope to do so again. The Sanford terminal is between Jacksonville and Tampa so a BHB from either Port Canaveral or Tampa would be very nice for me. I think I remember that the Oosterdam was somewhat modified and the only Vista that can get under the bridge. Roy
  13. Another day for today. August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day. Flags in Maryland are supposed to be at half staff for today. Roy
  14. @cunnorl there's been a lot of talk about ship congestion in Florida. How would you feel about a BHB home porting in Port Canaveral? Roy
  15. I have a sunset today rather than a sunrise. It's from Crystal Serenity's Northwest Passage cruise. August 31was a sea day from Cambridge Bay to Pond Inlet: Roy

  17. Thank you for the Hump Day report Rich, on this 25th anniversary of Diana's death. I've been eating outside a lot the last 2 years but not so much as the heat has been terrible. Trail mix is much appreciated and Memoirs are great contributors to our awareness. I've been to Manta several times and the quote is quite interesting; I think I agree. The meal sounds nice. 20. Thank you for the Tuesday report, Rich. Many here are all too aware of grief. I haven't been to a beach in several years and many here have touched a lot of hearts. I fear the Bradbury quote is all too true. Been to Barbados several times including at least 2 on the Elegant Explorer. The meal sounds nice. 22. I don't think a World Cruise on the Vistas would be a big issue. Cunard has been doing them many years on twins Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. Roy
  23. I THINK I had some good news today. The results came back for the specialty tests my doctor ordered last week and they were all within the normal range. Not sure how that relates to the regular tests but it is somewhat reassuring. Roy
