  1. Today's sunrise is from my 2017 Crystal World Cruise segment. On March 14 I disembarked Crystal Serenity in Rio De Janeiro. Roy

  3. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Ann, Debbie, and Dixie for the Thursday reports. Four great days to include including Pi day. The Joan Rivers quote sounds pretty self evident, hardly sanitary. I visited Lerwick on the Prinsendam in 2011. Three good days in history although the last one should have happened way before 2017. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Chilled Melon Gazpacho, Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad, and Dutch Apple Pie (appropriate for Pi Day) as served on MS Prinsendam March 14, 2019: Roy
  4. Happy to Birthday Brenda, Sandi's Brother and Mr. Boston's Mom. Roy
  5. Here's a set of programs from my last cruise on Rotterdam which should be pretty typical of what's offered https://morethangetaways.wordpress.com/rotterdam_programs/ Roy
  6. Today's sunrise is from my 2018 Crystal World Cruise. On March 12 Crystal Symphony visited Rarotonga: Roy

  8. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie for the Hump Day report. Not sure why one would have a special day to fill a stapler but I'll celebrate the other 2 days, not to mention the K-9 heroes in the Police and Fire service. Interesting quote by Wilde. Two great days in astronomy history and another in sports. I have not been to Amori. One nice thing about muffins, they are part of a select group of foods you can usually declare and carry across an international border. My alternative is Papaya with Rainbow of Fruit, Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast, and Blueberry Pie Sundae as served in the MS Prinsendam Lido March 13, 2019. I was in the lido that day to enjoy the last meeting of MS Prinsendam and MS Veendam as HAL ships and wanted to be on deck to enjoy the celebratory parting. Roy
  9. An email from my brother's widow reminded me that this is the 3rd anniversary of his funeral. I think someone thought I had a birthday in late February. Not quite. I remarked then that on February 23-24 I became older than Roger was when he died, 79 years and 8 months. Roy
  10. I would have loved to have been present for the lecture on the Edwin Fox. I visited that ship while on the 2020 World Cruise. Roy
  11. I believe forgiveness is as much to the benefit of the one who forgives as for the one forgiven. Carrying resentment around is toxic. As others have said, forgive and move on. Roy
  12. Sarah's family calls up the question of how many times do you forgive. Happy birthday Ellen. Roy
  13. Today's sunrise is from my 2014 Crystal World Cruise segment Singapore to Cape Town. March 12 was a sea day from Singapore to Jakarta: Roy

  15. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Happy Birthday Mitzi and Lenda. Condolences to @Nickelpenny. Wishing Terri good results at the Mayo Clinic. Equal Pay Day should get earlier each year. A salute to the Girl Scouts. I probably should organize what I use as sort of a home office but will probably just decide to call it something else. I like the quote but am willing to wait to find out if it is true. I'll celebrate all 3 of the days in history but especially the one in 1994. Been to Edinburgh a few times but I don't think ever docked in Newhaven. Today's meal is a solid miss for me. My alternative is Pineapple, Kiwi, Strawberry Passion Fruit Cup, Chilled Wild Berry Blend Soup, Broiled New York Strip Loin Steak, and Carrot Cake with Lemon Curd as served on MS Prinsendam March 10, 2019: A chilly start today but the start of a warmer week. Roy
  16. Welcome aboard. You have just joined. Everyone has a first post. Come back often. Roy

  19. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie, wishing healing for Jacqui, Happy Birthday to Sue, and a wonderful house warming for Morgan. Strange but when I googled 311 it came up with a music group but I knew what it should have been and Graham nailed it. We have it in at leas most of Maryland, and it is a godsend for our 911 operators. While we are tired of Covid it is not tired of us. Every day should be debunking day. Two sad days in history. I had a few more days on QM2 before Cunard decided the World Cruise could not go on. People who declared they could not fly were permitted to stay on board to Southampton operating as a "commercial ship" with bare minimal services but most of us were put up in hotels until they could arrange flights for us. I have sailed to/from San Pedro on Crystal several times and once from Long Beach on Carnival Inspiration. The cruise terminal there is the original hanger for the "Spruce Goose". The meal looks interesting. My alternative is Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup, Veal Parmigiana, and Ricotta Raspberry Tart as served on MS Prinsendam March 11, 2019: A chilly and very windy day here. Roy
