Use a Good TA for a Cunard World Cruise . A Good TA will do flips to book your World Cruise. Expect several thank you goodies from the TA as well as an additional discount of your cruise fare as Cunard permits TA's to discount even their best cruise rates.

QM2 schedule has a break in Nov 2023 that could be it .
-
In July the 2hr time slots were capacity controlled. Get there early to reserve your preferred times. You may also request to change your time along the cruise but your choices would be what is left available.
-
I couldn't have put it better. That is us also. Been cruising since 1979 on most every cruise line serving the US, and reluctantly going with the dress codes for Formal nights .
-
Sounds like a "Pending" credit check that will disappear shortly.
-
Yes you can . Just visit the public areas which permit casual dress on Formal Nights after 6pm ( Kings Court , Golden Lion , Carinthia) 😉

Cruising was Cruising back in the 70’s , 80 ‘s and 90’s . Today it has evolved to something else . Not bad , but not Cruising as I remember .

Your TA can add your Cunard Choice air easily on their POLAR booking site months in advance .
-
Depending on the airline you can book your seats when the Cunard Complete Air is reserved . We booked our transatlantic Delta seats well before Final Payment .

Alternative dining "Dinner at Kings Court"?
MCC retired replied to TheOldBear's topic in Cunard Line
Alternative Dining in Kings Court was available every night of our July 1st cruise. Menus were not published , just the theme each night. Menus were available to view at the Kings Court podium. Reservations sold out fast after the 1st night . Only Indian nights were available when we reserved but got in via waitlist for Bamboo night (excellent). -
And don’t overlook the Military OBC if either of you qualify 😀 With all the OBC’s available we end up with quite a bit of spending money onboard . All stackable 😀 FCD Shareholder Military Cunard promo Group Amenity from TA TA Gift

Another vote for Nachi Cocum . Book online early , limited capacity , sells out @ $59p/p.

Booking large group question
MCC retired replied to jcc1025's topic in Royal Caribbean International
8 cabins double occ booked into your group will give you 1 guest cruise fare (not the port or tax’s) rebated to the group leader . 3rd, 4th do not count , The mom and 1 kid will count as dbl occ . You should also receive amenities of your choice depending on how many Group Points are allotted for your ship/sailing date . -
Yes , that is what we ended up with also after being displaced from our preferred Deck 6 Forward Sheltered Balcony cabin.
-
Deck 6 forward fire doors were closed between elevators A + B , with do not enter signs for our 7/01 cruise . Imagine Deck 5 + 4 forward had fire doors closed also. Not Deck 8 at all.

I don’t know how anyone can “ignor the mask requirements” as aboard the QM2 last week , I was quickly reminded by the crew whenever I forgot to put it on after eating, coming indoors , etc. .
-
Just got off yesterday also. Found the service just fine although training going on. Bar service no problem for us beer people. Just a few big things ( 2 elevators , terrace pool) closed the entire 7 night cruise for maintenance that was not happening , along with the waterfall & several water jets in the Spa pool. Of course the rust which could be expected on a 20 year old ship. A couple of good shows , food was good in Brittania and even better on Bamboo Night at the Kings Court Alternative and the Verandah. Been on several of these Independence Day cruises but nothing close to the celebration put on by the QM2 on Deck13 that night . All in all a good cruise until the final night. Despite folowing the onboard Mask Rules , 4 Vac's , we both came home with Covid19 .(I'm convinced Masks don't help.
-
Having same experience as you . Seems like a lot of training going on. Got here 10:30 and the first document check right away . 2 more doc checks . Been seated in the pre boarding area almost 1pm . General. Boarding still not started ☹️
