We were told the same thing onboard the QM2 in May. Followed up by calling Cunard World Club as some here were reporting that they were purchasing FCD's onboard that included OBC. CWC rep confirmed availability ,and wrong info onboard . Allowed us to purchase FCD over phone.

Most travel agents will ask for final payment a week to10 days ahead of the cruise lines final payment date, to allow for any delay in receiving your payment info that could cause a cancelation.

Upon entering cabin for the first time , I wipe all contact points with anti bacterial wipes including the remote .

Probably one of the best rates for any itinerary all year. Pre holidays and pre school breaks.

US wants more sailings from the US . UK wants more from the UK . Some want long itineraries , some shorter . Cunard only has 4 ships to satisfy all . For those needing new itineraries , there are other cruise lines .

May aboard the QM2 appointments with the Sales Reps were handled thru the Purser Desk. I asked the purser for an appt to purchase an FCD . Guy said don’t bother as FCD’s were no longer available. Upon returning home and monitoring Cruise Critic , guests were still purchasing FCD with the OBC benefit. Contacted Cunard World Club and was able to purchase the FCD several days after debarkation as I was not the first to report misinformation onboard .

Sounds like it is a before vs after Final payment Date that allows the FCD OBC or not?

Most cruise lines do not allow TA's to advertise their Best Prices, You must contact them to get those rates. The large online cruise travel agencies are a good place to start for the better deals. Start by checking the cruise lines price for what you wish, then shop the TA's. You may be well rewarded.

Every fare has a “rate code”. It would be nice to know just what rate codes are not eligible for the OBC.

Your TA can book the airport transfers for you or you can wait to purchase them onboard $60p/p

Been cruising since 1978 , too many Jamaica stops to recall . Even a few Jamaica resort visits. The traveler complaints concerning the locals have remained the same. No worse , no better. Pushy , drug offers , ect.. Deal with it , stick with ship tours and you will enjoy the most varied and beautiful island in the Caribbean.

Before booking , interview the TA that you are about to book with. Cruise Specialist? CLIA Training , level. Cruise Line training accomplished. Years in the business? You may be amazed at the Cruise Experience those large online cruise agencies Home Based agents have . Only then consider his/her advice. You may be amazed how many TA's are merely order takers.

I think that “Budget” is being asked for before recommending as wishing a small ship on a holiday itinerary, for most cruisers , will be a shocker $$$ compared to mass market holiday cruises.

You can book Cunard Complete Air at reasonable rates , especially 1 way , if you us a TA or call Cunard to book .

Cruise lines and cruise lengths have different Final Payment dates. Research for the cruises that meet your preferences, then watch. Before ever booking Direct , contact TA's rates and other goodies that they may offer for that cruise.

Leave it to Cunard to install glitches making a simple survey complicated.

QM2 Verandah . We have watched walkups being denied a table yet several tables remained un occupied for the whole time we dined there? May be still a staffing issue?

The Verandah is a good enough special treat for us Brittania diners. Viewing the smokers outside is not a good thing though. Often see single cruisers by themselves at a table for 2 or 4 . Never heard of anyone booking a Verandah reservation requesting to Share?

Completed my survey on my Iphone no problem. I wonder if it will generate better or worse benefit changes?

Presidents Week in Feb. should be your main concern. Many schools not only take off on Monday, Presidents Day , but the entire week. Feb 19 2024 Feb 17 2025

Your big ticket booking should have earned some nice extra benefits with a good Cruise Specialist TA. OBC, Specialty Dinners , Tips , etc. It may be too late to transfer your bookings now .
