  1. That is ridiculous! I would be so annoyed as my go to lunch is a huge salad in the buffet. I really hope to have salad available on my cruise next month. I can't imagine what I'm going to hear is not available next!
  2. Agreed! Usually NYE parties will have a continental breakfast or some type of snack after midnight. I think NCL just is cutting way back. We were on many years ago during the World Series (something not shown anymore bc no contract) and they set up a little buffet during it. Nothing fancy...hot dogs or wings..but a nice touch. I know people have said they've done it during the Super Bowl. I'll be on during the Super Bowl and I'll be surprised to see this. I also saw a report of no football on one of these LIVEs so maybe the Super Bowl might not even be shown! It is the little touches that keep disappearing. I've seen many changes over the years since I started with NCL. I've been disappointed but kept coming back. Now, it is so many changes in a short time. My last cruise was in November and the changes since then are so many and not for the better.
  3. But also gone is sweet potato fries, loaded baked potato, Mac n cheese and creamed spinach. Wording in the pasta too. Looks like certain sauces go with certain noodles now. They really hyped that pasta too with all the combinations available.
  4. Didn’t mean you were. I just was saying how great it was. Loved going there in CT
  5. I’m wondering if that will be the next cutback.
  6. Frank Pepe’s clam pizza is next level. Not comparable to any cruise pizza.
  7. Only on the Prima right now
  8. Give it another go. They had such great variety on Grandiosa. Hopefully it was a fluke.
  9. Pizza on msc is awesome!! And the fresh mozzarella made on board
  10. I had the beef Wellington on NCL in 2007 when it was in the MDR and it was great. I’ve had it at Gordon’s too (been to five different restaurants of his) and although different, I enjoyed both. NCL did amazing with their duxelles and when they removed it from the menu years ago we chatted with a chef who shared the recipe with us. So I do see this as a negative. I see all the cutbacks as a negative. I’ll see them first hand next month on Encore. The menu for Onda is not on the NCL site anymore (it’s been gone since last week) so I’m wondering if that’s the next change….
  11. So the Beef Wellington is gone already?
  12. So did they show the niners game? I hope this isn’t a sign that football will not be shown.
  13. You can put some in a bowl from the buffet and it will be like you have a butler since it seems gummies and m&ms are so often requested.
  14. You’ve got the atrium sleepers too on some cruises. I’ve seen people sitting there hours dozing away on sea days.
  15. It’s really tacky too when they bring out the folding chairs to such a beautiful area.
  16. I think having a venue like Spinnaker helps the Atrium problem. Unfortunately they did away with these larger lounges on the breakaway class
  17. $425 for old rip 10 year. It’s only 70 for a bottle.
  18. I had it from Ocean Blue on Joy and even though calamari was not listed it was loaded with it. It was so chewy, like rubber bands. It sounded so good too
  19. I’m on Encore next month. Not too happy about all the changes recently. I’ve experienced many changes since my first NCL cruise in 2007 but this seems like so much at once. I’ll definitely blog about my trip and probably do a live here.
  20. They list Bullitt in the Matador which you can find at the Local or Osheehans but that’s sweet too
  21. The Woodford Old Fashioned is included though at one bar (usually Maltings) but I know that may be too sweet for some.
  22. So it’s just the daily cocktails from the sail and sustain…I’ve tried them all but I guess you learn the recipes…
  23. So bad news for me anyway. On board the Breakaway now and the chicken wings are different. The Buffalo sauce is more of a glaze and the wings do not have flour anymore (according to the waiter). There’s no little crunch parts. It’s a naked wing now. The sauce seemed different on embarkation but not crazy spicy. Last night, it was so spicy I could not eat. He ordered the Korean because in the Joy this year they were the hottest. My husband who is a spice fantastic judges them as very hot. I’m sad because the wings have always been top notch. Now it’s something that’s just ok if it was like embarkation. But I guess it’s healthier for me now lol.
