Thanks for your prompt reply. Glad they're to be issued on board, but $50 for a stay of 6 hours seems a little excessive!! Hope you enjoy your cruise 😀

Was this confirmation by telephone or email? If email is there any chance that you could post a copy of it on here for other passengers to see?
This is our first cruise with Azamara and despite emailling them several weeks ago we have not had a reply to our question re visas. We sail 8th February so need to sort this soon.

Ours was on D2 January 2020, Panama Canal and Cuba. Had a great time.
Sorry to see Celebration go, really enjoyed our cruises on the friendly little ship. Was on her for the last time for two weeks inSeptember 2019.
Looking forward to doing one of the USA cruises when/if they start.

We have had cabin 6545 several times, which also backs onto the "white space" and there were no problems with noise. Strangely enough we had a similar problem to your Explorer one when we were on Discovery for the first time in cabin 7597.

We were there at the end of june and several free shuttle buses took us into the centre of Gothenburg. Free maps at the terminal tourist info. We just walked around the centre and a nice park with a palm house etc. Good cafe with coffee and cakes. Lots of pavement bars/cafes for people watching and I'm sure you'll enjoy your visit.

Have booked 2 day Grand Tour with Alla Tours (28/29 June} and looking forward to visiting all the places mentioned in their detailed information. They have been very helpful and efficient dealing with our enquiries and I'm sure that we will just as pleased with the tour. Looking at other posts I guess that we'll not be the only ones from Discovery going with Alla.:)

Not at all, thanks for the information. Will have another look at the information on this trip

Hi Kruzseeker
May have now answered my own question. Our Manchester & the Gatwick flights are for a 15 night cruise returning home 21/12 and there are Birmingham & Glasgow flights for only 14 nights returning on 20/12. We have an extra night on board in Dubai. Looking forward to going but we have never spent longer than 2 days at sea before so this could be interesting!
Re your comment on Petra etc;I would have liked to go to Wadi Rum this time as we have seen Petra, but unfortunately Thomson are not offering this excursion. Just Petra, Dead Sea & Movenpick Hotel beach are available.

Only two flights seem to have been available for this cruise; Manchester & Gatwick, which would give a total of approx 600 passengers. As Celebration carries 1264 passengers, does this mean she is sailing only half full on this repositioning cruise to Dubai?
-
Yes we booked this cruise a few weeks ago and there are excursions available including Petra. We did this several years ago and it's well worth doing (wear layers though as it can be cold, even snow!)

Thanks Tina for the prompt reply. Very disappointed that it's changed as we fancied the Cuban ports of call and that there was only one day at sea. Will have to think again about booking now.:(

Has the itinerary for this cruise changed as the website shows the Cuban Fusion ports of call and not the ones listed in my brochure. I rang customer enquiries and she confirmed ports of call as shown in brochure, but I am worried that I might be paying for the wrong cruise if I book online.

Yes we did this excursion at the end of the repositioning cruise from Barbados in April. We had looked at doing a visit independently but the problem was getting transport there and back. The journey took around 20/30 minutes from the ship and we felt that the price of the ship's excursion was reasonable value and took away the worry of an uber not turning up to take you back to the ship.
I'm not sure what you mean by "the space port" as a separate place. KSC itself is huge with transport on the complex. We were there around 5 hours and didn't see everything. Our last visit there was back in 2003 and it had certainly grown! It's a very popular trip so I'd book before your cruise, as we did.
We will be on board for 2 weeks as from 3rd Sept, having changed our plans from the 10th September due to not docking in Manhattan.
