    Portofino

Thanks... but are you sure, why would it bracket Portofino then?

    Portofino

MSC Poesia list the itinerary as Genoa(Portofino)
  3. thanks according to your link : "Answer: Foreigners who are travelling to Türkiye by cruises are allowed to enter Türkiye without visa for a maximum period of 72 hours, with the permission given by the local security authorities. " So that means we do NOT need any visa, ok. Hopefully I can hear from others who done this before. We are not flying in/out of turkey , just staying at these 2 ports for not more than 72 hrs total.

we're embarking MSC poesia on Nov 19 at Portofino and there seems to be very little info on how this actually works. Is there a embarkation port at portofino, where exactly is it? How does one get there from Pisa?
  5. Confused as online seems to suggest yes but also some say cruiser have an exemption and all we need is to carry our cruise card while on port? This is for Nov, 2023. As a Canadian passport holder, do I need to apply/pay for anything special if my cruise starting in Italy stops at Kusadasi (1 day) and Istanbul (2 day port) ? My cruise agent just sent me a link which is vague...
  6. thanks all, so i decided to book a late november cruise departing/returning genoa (portofino). we're likely flying into Paris and then switching flights to Genoa (not on same day, we'll explore paris a few days). On the way back home, we'll fly out of Milan. I know actually what i'm doing actually involves quite abit of travelling around, but schedules and pricing match up best... thanks for the advices and experiences!
  7. Unfamiliar with the huge amounts of European ports , we are wanting to do Mediterranean cruise (we live in Canada). But at the same time, we want to fly into a city that is convenient/easy to get to the cruise port as well. Some of the airports that we can fly relatively easily into are London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome. From London, we may consider getting cheap flights to smaller cities to cruise from. I looked into a few ports and for example Rome, even that seems abit quite far, or is my expectation too high? We live in Vancouver and our intl airport to the cruise terminal is connected by train from airport directly to the cruise terminal ~40 minutes , costing ~$8 CAD. So I dont know if my expectation is spoiled or not... But ideally if there is something like that in Europe that would be great!
