  1. We anchored off of Jost 2 years ago. While not in the official itinerary, they offered tender rides to the dock and a shuttle bus to take over to Soggy Dollar.
  2. it was reported here as well. In the coffemaker thread. About the same details as above.
  3. CDC still requires ships entering US waters after an extended absence to quarantine for 14 days. The transatlantics will require an exemption to this rule. I'm guessing this will not be a problem.
  4. I'm able to access my account on Chrome. Been on a few hours and still active. Just logged off and back in successfully.
  5. https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/cruise/cruise-ship-color-status.html No Seabourn ships on the list yet since they are not in US waters, but that will change in a few months. The chart shows each ship's status with regards to infections and the CDC's investigation status. Green is the best status, followed by orange, then yellow, red, and grey. Thankfully, no reds on the list at this point. Site is updated 2-3 times a week.
  6. I said furnished, not furnishings. Being sent to be furnished includes all the work that you mentioned.
  7. Saw an article recently where Venture was floated-out and was on its way to be furnished.
  8. Starlink is the Spacex satellite constellation that will cover the entire planet, except for the poles. It's in beta now. It's meant for people in the under or unserved markets, not large cities with high-speed internet already available. Costs $99/month plus a one-time $500 base station install. Testers have shown that it works while being mobile. There's a couple other competitors out there, but Spacex has the lead due to their ability to lanuch the satellites themselves.
  9. If I remember right, Ovation was the fist ship to get the service with a dedicated satellite. I wonder if they upgraded all the ships in the past 18 months. I would think ships are the perfect place for Starlink service, which should be much cheaper for the cruise lines.
  10. While E&O share the same space as the Patio Grill, it is certainly not the same food/experience.
  11. My wife got the survey this past week as well. We're not currently booked.
  12. It's been 4 years since at least 2012. That's when we first cruised Seabourn and bought a FCD. If you don't use it within 4 years, they send the money back without you asking for it (happened to my sister).
  13. i've never gotten the hard sell at the TK Grill in the 5 times we've been there.. They show us the list and we politely decline. They they ask we we want wine from the included list. Guess we've been lucky.
  14. Another pricing question. US booking. Sebourn site says cruise is eligible for Welcome Aboard Special Offers, which includes internet minutes, 300 OBC, Combo-Cruise pricing and additional 5% savings with a club membership. I get the same final price if I'm logged in or not, so this implies the 5% is reflected in the price because (even if it's your 1st cruise with them), you'll be a club member when you book. That's a real cheesy way of promoting a discount. Note, when logged in, I do get another 5% off when I apply a Future Cruise Deposit, but that's not what the site is referring to. At least I hope not.
