Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Yes, they were Australian😀
  2. There must be a lot of hard of hearing people on the Vista.
  3. It's not just TV related. We could hear our neighbours on the phone to their family.
  4. We used Xuan for HCMC and Nha Trang and can highly recommend him. He is an excellent guide who takes great care of his customers and obviously loves his job. He always answered any questions prior to the tours very promptly and kept in touch when our port schedules were constantly changing.
  5. Avoid concierge cabin 8121. It is directly opposite the crew pantry and very noisy as it is in continuous use. We used earplugs, but could still hear our neighbour's television.
  6. Avoid 8121. It is opposite the crew pantry and very noisy. I wish we had known about the pantry before we booked.
  7. We are sailing on Riviera from Singapore, too and find this thread very helpful. We have our hotel booked, but are always open to new suggestions.
  8. Could definitely hear them from the hallway inside our cabin on Vista in July. I just think that the overall soundproofing on Vista is ineffective. I have not noticed this on Marina or Riviera.
  9. Yes, would love to do a South Pacific segment, too. Did the South Pacific on the Marina about 5 years ago and would love to go back, but don't want to do it on the R class.
  10. Just saw an interview with Oceania President on Insider Travel Report confirming that Vista will be doing the 2026 ATW.
  11. We had the same issue (amongst other noise issues) when we were on Vista in Concierge 8121 in July. We could hear our neighbours's television and even hear them talking on their telephone. Someone posted on an Oceania Vista forum that they had someone come to their cabin to measure the noise level from their neighbours' television.
  12. We were in 8121 which is a concierge with extended balcony. Still no loungers on the balcony. If you want a quiet cabin, do NOT book this cabin as it is opposite the crew pantry which is in constant use as we sadly found out on our recent cruise.
  13. I posted on another forum about the noise we encountered from the Crew Pantry when we were in 8121. There was also a Crew Pantry opposite 8061 but I don't know how noisy that pantry was. Sorry, can't comment about deck 7. There was a lift in the Pantry which was used to bring up food for room service orders, so I presume that lift would service all decks.
  14. Oceania will honour the sale on an already booked cruise, but you will have to pay the current price for that cruise. If the price of your cruise was cheaper when you booked, you will have to work out if it is worth paying the current price.
  15. Thanks for that CJ. I was hoping to get the Ultimate deal added, but can't complain as we got a good deal on the cruise when we originally booked.
