  1. I am traveling with a group and have booked dinner for our group in Chops. When I made the reservation, I specifically told them that I did not want it on Formal Night, so we booked Day 5 which would put us in Icy Strait Point. You all know what a hassle RC can be and I had to talk to Groups Department who the transferred me to the Sipboard Event Coordinator, it took a while but they finally got back with me with reservations for 18. I couldn't book them myself because I could only book 8 or 10. Well, another cruiser had just been on line and read a review that the second formal night had been on Day 5, now I'm lying awake thinking about how I am going to be able to fix this, if at all. Have you been on this sailing recently? And do you remember which night the second formal night was held? Thank you for any input you might have. I am hesitant to call because I just know I will be on hold for hours with people who can't answer my questions.
  2. We will be on Radiance of the seas in a few weeks, someone in our group asked about theme nights. Specifically 70’s night and Caribbean night. Can anyone who has sailed lately answer her question?
  3. Wonder of the Seas, December 2022, a Chocolate Martini was $14, $16.52 with 18% gratuity.
  4. What wonderful options you all have give us. I'd love to stay at the Pan Pacific but I just looked up their nightly rate. Ouch! I think we'll look for something a little more reasonable. The HOHO bus sounds like a good way to get around without having to rent a car, I will look into that.
  5. We thought we would just head to our hotel and ask them to hold the luggage until check-in time.
  6. We arrive in Vancouver by ship on Friday morning and fly out Saturday at 4:30. What should we try to see in our short time there?
  7. Take it with you. No need for you to suffer. You'll probably have to explain the weird contraption (mine makes me look like the Michelin Man). With all the added salt they put in the food it won't hurt to have the fluids pushed out correctly. Good Luck and enjoy your cruise.
  8. Thank you for all of the responses. This cruise has been rescheduled 4 times. The first time because of Covid and then I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and my oncologist made me cancel the next booking. 1 1/2 years of treatment and I am happy to say that I beat it! I'm a Survivor who just wants to cruise. 🙂 🌴
  9. That's what people have been doing for years. Hoping that in 5 days I will feel much better but they have me worried.
  10. Good idea. I plan to take some with me too.
  11. I have a cold and I am afraid that I will be denied boarding. I have covid tested and it is negative, it's just the cold I get every year at this time. What has your experience been with boarding. I'm afraid I will fly all the way to Florida and be denied because of the common cold.
  12. I always say, "A bad day cruising is better than a good day at work."
  13. Thank you. I will share the website with my group.
  14. Next summer will will be going to Alaska with a Pre-Cruise tour. Just wanting to pick the brains of those who have done one in the past. 1) It doesn't appear that there are any meals covered in the pre tour not even breakfast at the hotel. Has that been your experience? 2) Tipping of your RC "Adventure Specialist". Was a hat passed? Did you pay a certain amount per day? Were bus drivers tipped too? Any information that you can give me would be appreciated. I have a group of 18 going and since I arranged it, I'm also the "expert" and I need to be prepared when questions come. Thanks!

  16. UPDATE: I sent emails to the TA and one to C&A hoping to get some help. I received an automated acknowledgement from C&A that as soon as they have reviewed my request they will get back to me. I'm usually not one for public shaming, but feeling like I had no other option, I went to the TA's Facebook page and posted the following: Why don't you answer your phones? I left my phone number in your queue over 24 hours ago. My cruise is set to be canceled by Royal Caribbean. They notified you and you failed to let me know. I've called, I've emailed and I get nothing. You have over $2,000 of my money. I need resolution to this problem. Shortly after that post the TA responded asking for my invoice #. I provided that and a little while later I received a call from a Supervisor. She was frustrated with RC because of the extreme wait times that they have waiting to talk to someone. It was too late for her to contact RC last night but she said that she was going to call them and advocate on my behalf today. Let's see what happens. We really just want to take the option of rebooking for the following week. Hubby doesn't want a refund - he wants to Cruise! We lost the other couple that was to cruise with us but we've gone by ourselves before and if we really want to relax, that's the way to go. Thanks for all of the support. My fingers are crossed.
  17. It's become pretty clear to me that the online TA that I used is at fault. I never received the letter that was posted earlier. I noticed the change when I went on line to look at excursions. It's been nearly 24 hours and the TA still has not returned my call. I know what I want to do, I want to move my reservation to the next week if I could ever get in touch with someone. I've talked with RC but they won't help. The letter that was posted says "If we haven't heard from you by March 30th, 2022 your reservation will be cancelled." I can't remember if I had a non refundable deposit or not. I started this back in 2020 when I booked on board. I would hate to take my blood pressure now.
  18. When did you receive this? Royal let me book a bungalow at Labadee on 3/5/22, they must have know this was coming.
  19. Oh, my goodness this is worse than I had thought. I was on the line waiting for 1.5 hours yesterday to talk with the TA. I left my number in their que and have not heard back from them. I never received any communications from them. They have always been good in the past. I just emailed their customer service. Hopefully if they screw me over my insurance will help out with this.
  20. We were booked on the Harmony of the Seas leaving out of Port Canaveral on December 4th. This is my 3rd attempt at cruising, Feb 2021 cancelled by Royal, Feb 2022 cancelled by oncologist so we moved it to December 2022 so we wouldn't lose our cruise credits. We got a letter letting us know that Harmony had been moved to FLL and Miami, but the good news was that they were just going to move our cruise to Wonder of the Seas which is replacing Harmony. We were excited that they were moving it and giving us a price protection. Well when I go on line my 7 day has been changed to a 3 day cruise. I have not received any communication from the cruise line. I called and was on the phone for almost 2 hours yesterday with a rep that I barely understood who gave me three options, one of which was switching to the sailing a week later with a price protection. We were OK to do this although we lost our cruising friends who decided to just get their deposit back. The rep said that he had to finish reading the rules for this and put me on hold again. When he came back he said that his supervisor told him that was not an option. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was put on hold again (Probably at least 20 minutes) the rep came back to me and said, "You need to call your travel agent." Period. That's it. Too bad. I priced that 3 day cruise and it is within a couple hundred dollars of what we have paid for our original 7 day cruise. Needless to say, with the cost of flights right now, we can't justify flying to Florida for a 3 day cruise, nor would we want to do that. Come on Royal - Covid, Breast Cancer and now you jerking us around. I need a cruise! Has anyone else had an issue like this and how did Royal deal with it.
