  1. They may be selling tickets in casino at different price points, depending on how much you buy. I seem to vaguely recall seeing that last Fall on Regal, but I had no interest, so doesn't stick in my mind. Minimum $20/day, IIRC.
  2. Something wrong there. Who told you $1,072 each? That us virtually $60/day. The difference is only $25/day. How much was the PLUS being sold for when you booked? Might cost you more than $25 as they had a time period folks could upgrade for $25. Still the worst should be from $40/day Plus up to $85 Premier.
  3. I guess the 25 bucks gets you a couple of drinks to tide over until they are free. I wonder if those two count towards the 15 max (just kidding).
  4. See above in yellow highlight. Okay, so $1,600 / $2,504.50 = ~64%, so save about 36% for you, whereas Princess claims the savings is about 66% in their marketing. Of course, it all depends on how much of the benefits a guest uses and I am sure Princess calculated using the maximum cost of drinks and for the maximum possible per day. Not to mention maxing out on those calorie-buster desserts. As mentioned in other posts above, you need to do this sort of analysis for yourself and see if the value is there. Some folks get the value and some don't. I am in the latter category and would never book this package.
  5. Reading between the lines, I think you are conflating two different things. FCD's must be applied as your booking deposit (hence the name) in order to earn/gain the associated OBC perks. Otherwise, you can use FCD's anytime to pay towards the booking, but you get nothing for doing so. Pure FCC's not only can be applied anytime as payment towards balance owing, Princess often auto-applies any FCC's sitting in your account when a booking is made and has a deposit down.
  6. Could be data corruption. Login to Princess.com and review your profile in detail and see if all items are correct and complete. Call Princess and have them look into your records. See if there is a duplicate record for him with two different CC Member Numbers. Which Member Number is associated with the cruise bookiing?
  7. Go through each Ocean Ready section and step for both cabinmates and see if something is missing or incorrect. Just an idea.
  8. Post ship and date so I can look at the itinerary. Some general rules: 1. Never on first or last nights. 2. For sure on night 2 if day 2 is a Sea Day. 3. Generally, on Sea Days if possible. Otherwise, port days with an early departure.
  9. Yes, but no beverage is free from the IC unless you have a package including coffee.
  10. Look here: https://www.princess.com/learn/faq/pre-cruise/what-to-pack-for-a-cruise/ You also must be aware if your voyage is actually comprised or 2 or more shorter voyages because the number of formal nights is based on those separate voyages and not the overall. IOW, a B2B of 14-nights no matter how it is booked has 4 formal/dress-to-impress nights.
  11. They all go out en masse and I have never heard of special shipments in a situation like this. You might get them and you might not. Can always get them at the check-in terminal. If you have Plus or Premier cruise fare, then go ahead and order (costs you nothing). Regardless, you can always get them at the pier.
  12. I don't have any actual guesses, but Princess HQ has had more than a share of bad moves and mistakes in recent years. To be slightly fair, they have not all occurred under JP's watch. The more-is-better desserts that they throw everything at but the kitchen sink don't look like a winner. $12?? I'd be, just give me the ice cream and hold the candy bars, suckers, M&M's, etc, and charge me what they do at Gelato's. I guess I might try one and share with my wife just to see how they taste, but two per day per person?!!
  13. Slight amendment, but it is important. Princess reps will indeed talk to you, but not about the cruise fare, adjusting the fare (re-faring), change of people on the booking, cancelling. IOW, you have to deal with the TA for anything related to the booking information, pricing, and payment for the cruise and any EZ-Air. That said, you can self-drive EZ-Air bookings, Princess excursions, other add-ons for sale such as Crew Appreciation, MedallionNet, beverages, specialty dining, DineMyWay, Princess App (getting Ocean Ready). Don't even think about asking TA's about Princess App - LOL.
  14. Was that part of your joke, or is this some news I have missed? (Current Elite Minibar is 10 alcohol and 10 non-alcohol).
  15. Perhaps I could have been clearer, but I was giving a hypothetical example of a guest who does do enough drinking to think they would purchase the Zero Alcohol Package. But, they should just get the Plus instead as my math showed - and they can have that odd drink from the bar. I don't buy any sort of package. I go a la carte and pay both Crew Incentive and MedallionNet separately. With an Elite Minibar, a starter water package, and my own wine, I have no need for any drink package, so I am like you. My only point was that the Zero Alcohol beverage package makes no sense to me as the typical guest who might be interested in it may as well just book the Plus Fare option.
  16. The key thing about Post #7 - and I am sure you realize it - is to arrive early prior to general boarding. You get priority check-in based on Captain's Circle level, or if booked in a Suite or Reserve. It won't add much then to get Medallion from the check-in folks. Then you are seated waiting for boarding to begin. People who did have Medallions and didn't have are all mixed together by priority and arrival time for check-in. So, if arriving early enough, you can get on quickly.
  17. Do any of these concoctions taste any good? I might try one just so I could talk/write about it, but I must say, I'd rather have some quality scoops of real ice cream or gelato. I have had a number of gourmet-restaurant-quality desserts in my past, but none like these.
  18. Some???? How about ALL!!! Here is why. Let's suppose Guest John Doe thinks no alcohol for his party - I will get the new Zero package for $30 + Grats = $35.39 each. But, just a sec there - Guest Doe also pays $16/day for Crew Incentive and likes to be connected, so MedallionNet cost is either $15 or $7.50 per day. Add those up and you get either $66.39 or $58.89, so the $60 Plus is a NO BRAINER in that situation.
  19. You could contact EZ-Air department and explain the flight changes and now you are uncomfortable with the connection time and see if they will move you to an earlier flight for no extra charge. However, be prepared for them to do nothing until/unless your connection time becomes illegal (but then United is likely to be the one to change you then). You can also try asking United. You gave no dates. Are your flights paid and ticketed? If so, might be easier/better to ask United. IMO, an hour should be sufficient to change planes in Newark. Is there a major terminal change involved? You don't have customs to worry about and United will move your bags between planes.
  20. Yeah, but hard to be balanced when you are crossing the Pacific Ocean versus the dense area around the Mediterranean.
