  1. As long as you wear trousers, we don’t care if you wear pants. 🙃
  2. No problems. Got to the submit stage. It didn’t ask me for a disembarkation port.
  3. Oh sorry. I could have sworn I read RCC. Let me do a trial on my ArriveCAN.
  4. I don’t see any RCC cruises disembarking in Whittier; just Anchorage (Seward). Could that be the problem?
  5. I did! Gosh, that was a long time ago. So many cruises cancelled. lol. I wonder which one that was? My biggest disappointment was when I finally had the Prinsendam booked and then they sold the ship! I’m sure we’ll get to meet some day. 😊
  6. Sorry, I realize I could have been clearer. You are entering Canada twice so that requires two QR codes. The first entry is your Vancouver flight on Friday. Then you are leaving Canada to go to the US. Your second entry will require another QR code which means, yes, you need to make a new ArriveCAN entry to board the ship.
  7. Think of it this way. Your Friday flight into Vancouver is your first entry into Canada, so that is your first ArriveCAN QR code. Your next entry into Canada will be upon disembarkation (I am making assumptions that you have a Vancouver return) so that will require another ArriveCAN QR code as you have already used the first one. Make sense?
  8. How are you feeling? Do you have any advice or comments regarding disembarkation and your return home?
  9. That’s a good question. I haven’t seen where anyone has done this but I guess the only way to find out is to try it. Alternatively, you could maybe bring on those flavor drops/packets to add to your water.
  10. Very exciting! This will be our first river cruise, too, so I would be really interested to read your thoughts on it once you’ve completed your cruise. We don’t go until October. I agree with @Kenster. Traveling through ZRH is a breeze and a pleasure. Very clean and very well organized.
  11. If you read the numerous “poor internet” and “Live” threads over on the Princess board you would see how terrible it really is. We had zero internet for our entire trip on the Sky and the Medallion app didn’t work. At all. Even those interactive displays around the ship weren’t working. If I were relying on internet during a cruise, Princess would be the last line I would be sailing.
  12. Wow. I would contact Princess and ask to speak with her Supervisor.
  13. Just to be clear, there is already an 18% service charge added to the cost of the beverage so absolutely no one is being cheap.
  14. Go to the ArriveCAN Website and choose “Sign in to ArriveCAN online”. The bonus of using the online version vs the app is that you can also do your customs declaration. The app doesn’t provide for that as yet.
  15. My friends from Canada were visiting a couple of days ago and she had the same problem, even though she was using my WiFi. (Autocorrect changed WiFi to “wife” and I almost left it. 😂) She had already checked she had the latest version. Anyway, she uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it and it worked.
  16. @Crew News, they used to have Canada customs declaration cards in your room upon embarkation. Are those still being used or have they done away with them now that there’s ArriveCAN?
  17. I agree that communication and poor internet lead to problems but I am just having a hard time understanding why some people don’t research entry requirements for the countries they are visiting. It’s like they can’t think for themselves.
  18. Oh, did you have Mr. Potato Head in high school too? He was our facili-tator. 🤪
  19. Airline employees do not have access to the ArriveCAN details so they need to ask to see the receipt before allowing you to board. Only CBSA officers can drill down to those details so they (CBSA) will only want to chat with you about it if it is incomplete.
  20. It was to have undergone a refurbishment earlier this year. Its first sailing isn’t until May so we won’t know until then what’s been done. It wouldn’t be my first pick for my first HAL cruise, though.
  21. We had Dolphin Deck 1831. I would not recommend this location as it was too close to the stairs they used for port disembarkation/embarkation/tendering resulting in crowds blocking your access and lots of fresh and *not-so-fresh airflow. (Not-so-fresh as a result of them doing painting and maintenance on the exterior and a strong chemical smell being forced into the room.) Here is a pic of the location of that room: Here is a link to my ZAANDAM LIVE THREAD if you’d like to scroll through for more pictures. I believe the rooms have been updated since we sailed on her three years ago.
  22. Yes, that is correct. As long as you are not embarking or disembarking a cruise in the Bahamas (meaning your cruise starts and/or ends there) then you are not required to apply for a health visa. We had a port stop in the Bahamas and it was business as usual. Have a great trip!
  23. Yes, you have assigned seating at the main dining time in the Main Dining Room. Depending on your location/ship, main dining is around 8:00pm. It will say on your ship card. Enjoy your cruise!
  24. September is a good time for the Northern Lights. These websites are informative: Aurora Hunter NOAA Space Weather
