We are platinum and been on the Sky 2 times. The only thing we received is an invitation to the VIP gathering and a pin. I suspect that we must have been the only platinum cruisers on the ship and it was a very poor showing at the party.

I use mine. It has a Visa logo.

I booked our cruise in CAD back in November, but upgraded our room in March. We have the promotion where the DSC is included for the first two passengers, leaving only the last two to pay for. Final payment is approaching, so I called my PCC to ask if I could prepay our DSC as the system was not allowing me to do it online. He informed me that due to the promotion I received, I can only pay for the remaining two passenger's DSC once I am onboard. Has anyone else been told this? Many other people paying in CAD seem to be able to prepay their DSC, has anyone else had a problem prepaying due to the past promotion? My PCC doesn't seem to be the sharpest stick and is always giving me incorrect information so I don't put much faith in anything he says.

I had the same issue. My PCC said that she could not make it work.

Both times we have been on the Sky in the last year it was open when we were at GSC. I was surprised.

The inside ones are bigger and can sleep six and have two baths. How many in your group and are they adults or kids? The outside ones have great views from the living room but the living room on the inner ones has a big post in it.

But they have 2 bedrooms. We are staying in 12000 in November. No kids, but my sister will be in the small one.

I noticed that statement from Andy Stuart and called my PCC. She said it was only the drink package. We booked the Sky in February for next May with the UBP. She changed our promo to the dining and now we are "all inclusive".

They are 4 cup Mr. Coffee type.

It would be really good if we had that thread to reference but unfortunately we do not.

 

I did at the time basically ask about the information being current and subject to change. She did say yes that was what she was told for that point in time. I did not get the impression whatsoever that she was trying to be misleading or deceptive in any way. This is what she was told and what she was reporting.

Rochelle, I read her answer to you that way as well. She was requested to ask him and she did. Not sure if it was a timing issue. Maybe they were not done with the testing at that time. I think you can blame a few of these posters for that thread being deleted. Probably the same will happen here. Jancruz did not deserve to be treated that way. It was humiliating to say the least and very childish. They can put smiley faces behind their rude comments and they will still be rude and mean.

I am booked on the Pearl for 8/16. It is my first cruise, and would love a suite. I have free UBP with my balcony. We don't really need it though. Hoping they drop these promo's and prices come down a little?? Also considering laying another $250 down on a suite during all the recent promo's just in case. I'm just not sure if I can come up with the extra $$ but I would have my balcony to fall back on. LOL

I could be wrong but I think with all suites on NCL you have to put down $1500.oo. Right now, until the April 30th, it is half off, so $750.00. But you will get the current promo.

I really don't get why people think the Sky is a booze cruise. We sailed her two weeks ago and I did not see the first drunk person. Met some really nice families and the staff was great!

We noticed a few on the Getaway as well. I would think that the UBP has a little to do with that. Some people think they just have to get what it could be worth. There was a guy at the bar on deck trying to start fights with everyone, then fell asleep on the stool. The bar staff said they may leave him there. They said they figured his wife was getting drinks for him when they refused to serve him.

You mean since the time of the announcement?? Or since February and yesterday?

Went up two weeks ago. Same thing happened on our Getaway cruise in March. We booked a suite in October, before the promos, then watched the price climb $2700 more, then presto, "free UBP, UDP and OBC". They get more money. They have to. Not saying it is bad. Remember last summer or so? They emailed out those surveys and I guess lots of people said they would pay for these items.

I live in South Florida and we have a lot of fun on the Sky. It's a great little getaway for my twin sister and myself. We have done two 3 day. There was a lot of partying around the pool deck. Just a few drunks. Those videos are spring break and they happen on all ships. The one we are taking next May is a four day, when school is in.

Our 4 day cruise for May 2016, booked in February increased by $150 pp.

I have grabbed cookies there. Never thought about it. Never seen very many kids there. Great late night snack.

I find it ironic that some CAS players get discounted or free cabins, spending hundreds if not thousands in the casino and then fuss about increases in DSC, gratuities and such. Isn't $ 7.95 for room service and $ 6.65 DSC about the same at 3 max pulls on a slot machine.

Thank you Zaszlo for you excellent explanation. My son who has a Masters degree, works for a government contractor and is married with a child is a Furry. They do a lot of conventions and children's charity events. He is neither a deviant or a weird character that come out a night to do sexual things. They have helped raise loads of money for the charities causes, mostly children's hospitals and such. Thank you so much.

Any recent Getaway Haven quest know what day and time the Haven cocktail party is held? I want to book some dining and shows. We enjoy meeting the captain and officers.

I live in Miami and my PCC calls me a few times a year informing me of the $99 cruise on the Sky. My DS is my cruising partner on the Sky and we are going on Friday the 19th on the 3 day. She works and lives in Tennessee. It would have been great to make it a B2B. It will be a plan next year when she retires.

We have been in 12500 twice on the Dawn. We have booked 12500 on the Star for November 2015. We saw a video on YouTube on Star cabin and was almost exactly like the Dawn cabin. We love this cabin.

Also make sure you take the letter you receive upon boarding. We had to go back to the room to get it. The waiter had no idea what I was talking about.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I have been invited last minute to cruise on the Getaway on Saturday. I will be the only platinum guest in the cabin and the person I am replacing (long story, no insurance) has the UBP. NCL changed the reservations to me with credit for everything purchased (dining and shows). Will I still get the bottle of wine in LeBistro?

I called on our last 3 cruises and was charged the new price and given credit for what I paid.
