  1. WOW such a great response!!! I have several options which is wonderful. Thank you everyone!!
  2. Hello folks.....we have done many cruises, but have never sailed out of Galveston Tx. We are coming in from Cleveland OH & will come in one day prior to our cruise. Does RC offer shuttle service from Houston to Galveston? If so, for how much? How far in advance should I book out? And is the shuttle service on the same day of the cruise departure? How about the return? anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated?
  3. Hello all, we are returning to Bermuda in June, for a 7 day adventure. In the past, the casino was closed or had very limited hours while in port. Has anyone been there lately & know if this has "loosened up?" Have wonderful Easter.
  4. Hello CC folks. We are headed to Bermuda in June. This is our 2nd trip & would love to swim in the ocean. I dont know where our last visit was, but the ocean waves and currents were very strong. Can anyone recommend a beach that is calm & not deep? We need something that we can reach via cab or bus from the cruise docs & has bathrooms. Thank you & have a blessed Easter
  5. how did you like horseshoe bay? we are looking for a beach that has calm waters
  6. Hello all....we are seasoned cruisers with RC/Celebrity, thinking about doing a 5 day carib on VV. What will be different for us? We are D+ with both lines, so we get many perks. What can I expect to pay additional for on VV? Is is set up the same way? Main dining room, or speciality restaurants? Are the speciality restaurants an additional charge? Mostly concerned about what a 1st time cruiser on VV will have to pay additional.....thanks all.
  7. we have done this many times......book one under each of your names, & once you get on the ship, go to guest services & have them re-arrange your names & rooms. Make sure that they also transfer over your credit card info.
  8. I am still confused.....is the GOS set for dry dock? or demolishing?
  9. when is this ship expected to go into dry dock? just curious as we are sailing at the end of May. One picture is certainly worth 1,000 words.....no reason for uncleanliness.
  10. are the other restaurants still free? Normandy? Tuscan Grill etc?
  11. hello there.....sadly we were not able to complete our fishing trip while in Alaska. one of our family members just complete shoulder surgery & we did not think it easy for him to haul in anything. Good luck & have fun....I have heard great things about them & they were kind & understanding when we needed to cancel
  12. the last time we were in Normandy, on the Edge, a couple came in with very casual clothes....ripped jeans, sandals etc. They ordered drinks. After their drinks they were asked to leave & return with proper attire.....it was handled very professionally.
  13. If I am lucky enough to be seated at a machine & given a drink by a server, I find that a $2 tip gets them coming back to me every time!!!
  14. totally agree...Eden will be the holding spot for those who self carry. Get there around & 7:00 am. put your luggage in line. Be ready to rock when you receive notice of clearance. & pray for no issues. We did a 10:00 with no issues. Good luck..
  15. We have an OBC that we would like to use for dinner at Sushi On Five. I noticed there is no fixed price. How do I go about applying my OBC?
  16. We are doing the ABC;s on the Reflection next month. We have been 3 times & love this trip as the islands are very different. Make sure to book with Bonaire Golf Carts. You take a road along the shore side & go past the salt mines, salt beds & may see some flamingos. Fascinating for sure
  17. If you travel past the beach club, there is a pubic beach with facilities. The water and sand were delightful......and no crowds
  18. the stop is in Puerto Plata...the signage in the port says Taino Bay. did a wonderful bus excursion thru Celebrity which included a coffee/chocolate shop, a church, towns square and a visit to to Luperpuron's home
  19. I probably have no right to comment on this, since I receive a very good cruise rate through my casino host: however, we sailed on an alaskan cruise, Seattle to Seattle this past week. We do the buffet as they usually offer good options. I was disappointed this week as the lunch/dinner buffet was: hot dogs, burgers, fries, pizza, pasta, & many non impressive foods. The salad dressings and guacamole were noticeably watered down. Almost like a menu of a family that was trying to stretch out their weekly shopping budget.....Because we sail both RC & Celebrity, I found it difficult to determine which line we were sailing on. Just my observation & opinion.
  20. Hello CC people We are headed to Alaska on the Celebrity Solstice. Our itenerary is Kecthican, Juneau, Skagway & Vancouver. We love playing in the casino. During our cruises to the Caribbean they have restricted casino hours. Can anyone, who is a slot enthusiast, tell me what the hours may be? Are they closed while in port? What is considered "international waters" What will be our restrictions? thank you for your input!!
