In this day and age when grammar and spelling are not taught in schools, and spell check is the editor of choice, what do you expect? I doubt that Celebrity would spend big money on people who proof copy when they can't employ an IT department that makes their website run smoothly. 😃

I made an error. Yesterday was day 81. Today is 80 days until we sail to Alaska and 618 until the river market river cruise

So when the butlers are back, does that mean we will have a cabin steward and a butler, or just a butler?

We sail in 2.5 months. I am interested in this answer as well. I'm not sure it will change my experience either way though.

this past December, we boarded at 11:30, and then I realized that I had left my purse at our pre-cruise hotel. We were allowed to exit the ship. Security scanned us out, and they said, "make sure you are back by 4:30 p.m. for 5 pm sail away." Luckily, I retrieved my purse and we were back on the ship by 1 pm. I would ask at check in, and then again once you are on the ship. My sister and her husband check in and then head to a wine shop for a few bottles for the cruise.

I also have celiac disease plus, I also can not eat oats. That is why we decided to take the river cruise to experience the Christmas markets. If we did a land-based trip, it would be very difficult to eat in the smaller towns. I am really glad to hear that I will meet with the chef before sailing.

Thanks, everyone. We will be doing the Christmas markets cruise. Will we be able to go to the markets in the evening? Or will it be available in the daytime, or both? All of the answers you gave are exactly what I was thinking. The friends we are going with are asking these questions, and I wanted to make sure I had the correct answers.

We are planning our 1st river cruise on Ama Waterways. What is there to do in the evenings? Will we need to make our own fun?

We had friends on The Edge last year, and they said that the Magic Carpet never moved from deck 14. they did not lower it for tendering. They were told there is an engineering problem with it. Has anyone been on the Edge recently who can let me know if it is working?
