  1. Can you purchase traveli insurance for a designated amount for which you want coverage vs. the entire trip cost? For example, if your credit card covers a certain amount and you want to purchase coverage only for the difference, is that possible?
  2. We’re on Vista now. In the category of “I thought I’d seen everything,” two loungers were being saved one morning. One was occupied by a pair of sunglasses and the other by … an apple.
  3. Thanks, all! I called American and changed to a later flight. I didn't want to end a relaxing vacation with a few hours of stress!
  4. Our flight from Miami to DFW on 30 December was just changed from 11:40 to 10:40. Personally, that's cutting it a little close, but options to change are slim at this late date. Any opinions on how stressed we should be with the 10:40 flight? Thanks to all the experts!
  5. You actually got the entire menu. The starters came out one by one in succession, and each person got a "combination plate" with small portions of each entree listed. If you have allergies, let them know in advance and they'll come up with an alternative.
  6. This was the menu for Dinner on the Edge (on the Edge ship) in December.
  7. Check your itinerary for any port day where you have a late departure. That will likely be the day when the dinner is held. When the ship is moving, it's too windy to serve dinner on the Edge,
  8. We did this dinner on Edge last month. There was one day where we were in port until 11 pm, and it was held that night. They stagger arrival times in either 15- or 30-minute increments, beginning at 6 pm. The early arrivals obviously were assigned the table right next to the edge of the platform, and then there was another row of tables next to those - most of them were tables for two, and the later arrivals were seated there. I've attached the menu used on our sailing. They serve each of the appetizers in sequence, and then the entrees served on a platter family-style, and then all 3 desserts as a sampler with a plate for each guest. Honestly, we weren't as impressed as we expected. The setting was incredible, and the service was of course wonderful. But the food was just so-so. They use the pool-burger restaurant (Waves?) around the corner for staging and cooking, and most of the food came out lukewarm at best. We're glad we did it, but we canceled our reservation for our May cruise on Beyond. The food and menu in Luminae were superior. Your call if it's worth a try, but think about the cost and what you'd get in a land-based restaurant for that amount. If you have another specialty restaurant booked, it's on you to cancel or re-schedule it. Let me know if you have other questions. (We found scant info when we were deciding last year.)
  9. This is what we learned: You stuff your laundry in the bag ... and it comes back clean and stuffed in the bag! If you're worried about wrinkles, you might want to opt to pay for pressing.
  10. We have a Delta flight booked Business Class through Celebrity Air for June 2023. I took the Record Locator from the confirmation and went to the Delta website and booked our seats.
  11. Nope. "Going into effect beginning on January 1, 2023, a cruise ship passenger tourist entry tax of $10 per cruise passenger will replace what was formerly referred to as a ‘head tax’, and the cruise lines will be responsible for collecting and paying the fee on behalf of visiting passengers."
