  1. One more question, I am suspected a potential room upgrade through the royalup program. It has not been accepted yet but I did get a reply stating as a room becomes available it will be assigned up to 2 hours before embarkation. With that said, should I still put my luggage tag on my suitcase when I drop it with the porters? Will they redirect my bag to my upgraded room if I receive it?
  2. Odd thing is I have been checking the sailing I originally wait listed on liberty for. Numerous times since I’ve been out on the waitlist balcony rooms and interior rooms have been available but I have not been emailed once to be offered these rooms. Not sure how the waitlisting works as it hasn’t done anything yet. I’m glad I kept calling in.
  3. I was able to score an interior room for the same sailing date on Freedom, the room availability actually opened while I was on the phone with an agent. I'll be curious to see if anything comes through for the waitlisted rooms on Liberty I originally inquired about.
  4. The agent claimed if I don’t book the offered room the deposit is refunded.
  5. Okay perfect thank you, they claimed me to be first on the list for both room types. Think I have decent odds of getting a room?
  6. I was told by both agents when I set up this waitlist agreement. I will be emailed by RCL with 24 hours to pay the full price of the sailing to lock down my room. If I don’t make a move within 24 hours the opportunity moves onto the next waitlisted guest. Not sure, sounded appropriate on the phone but I’m not certain.
  7. It shows the typical receipt except under stateroom it says "WLT", I did see a $100 charge go through on my card as soon as I gave her the card number so I know it was charged out.
  8. Hi there, I am hoping to catch a weekend cruise on Liberty of the Seas leaving the 17th of this month. I am on the waitlist for an interior room and also a balcony room, whichever becomes available first. RCL even took a $100 deposit for the waitlist I am on for an interior room, the agent claimed since I have this deposit down my waitlist position will take priority over the others without a deposit down. Does this sound true? Not sure how high the odds are I can snag a room, seems like every evening RCL lists sold out listing for sale when a room becomes available. Is one able to just walk into the terminal towards the end of embarkation day and book a room that someone no showed on? Any help is always appreciated, thank you!
  9. I wish this not to be such a hot topic of discussion but happy to be receiving replies to my original question. I do have another question though, I have one traveler that has changed his last name, he has his original birth certificate along with documents from the MN court system showing what his original last name was (which matches his birth certificate) and what his name last name has changed to. Will this documentation work if he brings the birth certificate, and the name change paper work provided by the state of Minnesota? His drivers license last name matches the name change paperwork as well, not the birth certificate. Or am I best making him obtain a new birth certificate that has his new last name printed on it?
  10. I called and they waitlisted me for a balcony room, said it should be likely someone cancels and since I am first on the waitlist I will be the first to have the option to book that room.
  11. Does anyone have any guess as to when sold out bookings are reposted for sale after a cancellation that causes new availability? It seems when I check right away in the morning 6 am ish that is when the most new available sailing dates are available. Then throughout the day those sell out again. Also the week before the embarkation day, the more it seems rooms become available. Has anyone ever observed or have any advice how to catch one of these rooms?
  12. I’m looking to book a solo weekend cruise later this month. Looks like most of the remaining weekends are fully sold out but 1-2 times a day some cancellations must occur and these sailing are offered again on Royal caribbeans website. Unfortunately due to the very limited availability some of these sailings are requesting double occupancy in the room. What is stopping me from booking two people for the room and showing up and boarding by myself? I understand I will still be paying for the missing person but at least I can purchase and obtain the room. They would never turn me away at their terminal for such circumstances? Thank you for any help!
  13. One last quick confirmation, I assume the photo id (drivers license) doesn’t have to be from the same state that the birth certificate was issued in? For example using a Minnesota drivers license with an original stamped birth certificate from Wisconsin is completely acceptable?
  14. I agree we will be supplying the correct documentation to just get on the ship as it would to apply for passport. My main concern is the erratic processing times. I would think 1 of the 15 passports or potentially more wouldn’t arrive on time. Now how would you advise to find a good travel agent. Must they be local to me? I appreciate yours and everyone advise.
